If he say can use, then he will have fallen into the “ruse” set by Pritam in getting equal treatment for their MPs. If he say cannot use, then he will have proven Pritam allegations of negative politics to be true. So maybe that’s why he intend to give a non committal answer and wait until the elections is over

after elections will just be swept under the carpet.

yes, people respected the late LKY because he brought us to where we are now.

however, can the people continue trusting the gen after LKY to continue to do the same after their 10 years performance from 2015?

Many will say aiya opposition in my wards cannot make it, i vote incumbent.

However, if u dont give opposition a chance, there will be less opposition contesting and might even result in walkover next time. (it is like u go for job interview but you are not given a chance because u no exp) At least the people have more options now, so please consider giving them a chance if they are not that bad. If not i think spoiling vote is the next better option to send a signal to the incumbent that they have to improve.

LKY was given a harsh reality check in 2011 when he told the Aljunied residents that they will have 5 years to repent. Credit to LKY that he accepted that his era was over and he did not make remarks like that henceforth.

Correct, he also know that he is a man with one leg in coffin, so he couldn’t care less what will happen if makes statements like this to Aljunied residents. He was bed ridden soon after the elections till his passing on in 2015. What I like about him is that he will say things as it is and will not mask how he feels. The rest is pretends the system is as fair as it could be and they have never been unfair to opposition.

I also have the same question why grassroot and CC is not assessible by oppo. I remember the explanation was given by LKY.

the explanation (not say I agree): because CC and grassroot are under PA, they should not affilitate with a specific parties BUT BUT BUT it has to be controlled by the rulling party (may or may not be PAP) ONLY to promote the government policy.

This is the reason why you don't see any pap members wear PAP shirt in CC or grassroot event or venue.
