Just FYI, GTX 970 has no reference cooler design. all board partners are using their own design for cooling. The only difference is which partner's technology is superior to the other, although consideration must be made to whether the extra performance is worth the extra cost.

Actually don't worry so much about receiving goods that are parallel imports or defective or even stolen.

They really really have a very nice return system, if the good is found to be problematic can just contact them and return. Much like Microsoft store where you can try their Surface 3 and if you don't like it, return for a full refund.

They even pay for courier to pop by your house to collect the unwanted good. Quite nice. Haha.

Actually, there is ref cooler for 970, but its for OEM brands nia.. Not available for consumers like us.

Wan ref blower, only 980 for now.

I took EVO lol. BTW its 250GB.

Anyway took Evo and in fact 2 units of it because of Samsung brand. Evo seems better to me with the metallic build but that's not too important.

EVO writes faster but that the speed probably won't make much of a difference. M100 is actually a budget line of crucial kinda not premium enough.

With that the specs doesn't make much of difference esp since it's already an SSD.


The EVO also cheaper by $10 lol.

I remember reading that the EVO has some write issue. It slows down after a while. I'm unsure if the recent Samsung firmware release fixes this issue.

Check first before buying.

Price diff is very significant between both. If you don't mind paying >$100 more then just go for the ASUS
