Anyone knows any good places for me to learn German? I am looking into studying in Germany (in courses fully conducted in English), however, i need to acquire basic knowledge of the German language in order to be eligible.

I know a very good school - Goethe-Institute. However, their classes are very expensive and their schedules don't really fit me. So i'm looking for another school that would provide good and standard education in the German language since i'm going to use it for academic purposes.

Perhaps allowing me to skip Goethe's level A1.1 or level A1.2 so i can save some money and time?

Thanks!:s12:

I am considering taking German at Cambridge language school. Their promo package is $630 for Basic+Intermediate, then they give you Advanced course FOC [so $630 for 30 lessons, $210 for 10 lessons], materials included and registration fee waived!!! 2.5hrs per lesson. But the catch is that the class is 10-20 people loh.

Then Berlitz language school is offering like $5000+ for 60 lessons [$833.33 per 10 lessons], which IMO is damn expensive, but its one-to-one lessons only.... and is 45mins per lesson.

Then Goethe-Institute is offering around like $500 or something for 10 lessons, class maximum 20 people, and 45mins per lesson.

think Goethe-Institute is 40 lessons
german centre also offer course about $400

Goethe Institute offers German certificates that are recognized worldwide, so although it is expansive, it is the best place to learn German.

Any German learners here?
