I've just ordered my denshi jisho from Amazon.jp
http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B001P7OMCO
interested parties can go take a look because i have observed the price and exchange rate for some time now. I think its now a good time to buy.

Item ~ 300SGD
Shipping ~25SGD (vpost cause they do not ship internationally)
Total ~325

Hi, is there insurance coverage for your purchase? I've been wanting to get an electronic dictionary too, and your method seems to be the cheapest. But I did a quick search on vPOST website and found that shipping items are not insured - correct me if I'm wrong. I think it's rather risky to ship a $300+ item without insurance. What if it gets lost or is damaged during the journey? On a related note, is there any warranty?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

I think you better direct your question to vpost. But i can tell you that during the payment of vpost shipping there is an option of buying insurance which is like ~17SGD

Do you know where we can get this in Singapore? I have a gut feel that Chinese is close to Japanese than English. So having Chinese explanation might be more useful. Am i right?

yah, for upper levels, i feel that chinese explanation is better than english ones...
