All prices exclude shipping costs. If bought in batches, the shipping cost can be waived.

Because the owner is based in Singapore, he also handles warranty issues if the set breaks down within a year. Anyone interested, pls drop me a private msg. Thanks.
Sorry, the price for the M4000 is $299.. =(

mina san arigatou gozaimasu for providing all the reference.

its a very good offer for 3 dictionaries, but a little overwhelming for a beginner.

I have these books. They are in good condition but with some brown spots due to age. There are 3 books in the series, 2 are what dimitri listed, and 1 is a Kanji book that uses the SKIP method of lookup which makes it very easy to find words. If you're interested I could let all of them go at $45 bucks. They're good books for learners but since I got my electronic dictionary I haven't been using them.

For beginners, why not grab Oxford Japanese-English Dict? Only $50. Cheaper if you have Popular Card. It serves all my needs and have useful example sentences.

For e-dictionary, my professor says casio (the Ex-word series) is the best and 2nd is canon wordtank. seiko is so-so. She said sharp and sony are not very good, so dont get them (dictionary different). I myself have casio, canon, seiko and sharp and i also thnk that casio is the best in terms of dictionary entries.

そうね、私も同じ理由だから一番弱いのは会話です
しかも私の友人達は全部日本語には興味ありません
ネットで会話をする以外日常生活には日本語を全然使わない
本当に残念ですね orz

Think other language schools will only help you register if you signed up with their prep courses.

Hi, everybody.

This evening I have learnt the "plain" form of Japanese Language. And I think it is quite difficult. I kept seeing stars just now and I couldn't really answer in Plain form in class when my sensei asked me questions.

For the 4 forms [the te -, na-, ta & dictionary form], I have tried very hard to memorize, but, when the sensei asked the verbs to be changed to the 4 forms [te & ta still ok, mainly is the 1st & 3rd group for Dictionary & na form], my mind is totally blank.......

Thus, how can I remember for the 4 forms of the verbs & for the Plain Japanese Language?

Btw, is the Plain form of Japanese Language under JLPT 4 or JLPT 3?

Sorry for asking such question & pls advise. Thanks

IMO, it's easier to convert plain form to -masu form than the other way around. Therefore usually i remember verbs in it's plain form. (easier when you lookup in dictionary too).

I think plain form is under JLPT 3.
