Me wanna recommend Kimura's Beautiful Life drama for beginners like me. Just started learning a month ago, vocab ard 500 words, grammer almost non existent and yet I've been able to understand most of the nouns and some of the verbs and adjectives. They all speak ok speed and clearly, sometimes in short sentences and sometimes repeat each other. And it's a nice show. Damn gd for learning siol.

Being bilingual is a huge advantage in learning Jap...sho many words derived from Eng and Chi...

I dunno really, just started watching a few dramas, so far dats the easiest to understand. Others like Hanzawa Naoki have quite abit of business talk and they speak long sentences quickly, really ish catch no ball Will sic if I discover any other slow paced, easy to grasp dramas...

However, I'm once again looking to start continueing my language studies again.
Hence I would like to seek advice from the experts here on any recommendations to continue my studies

Should I start fresh at a school or self revise and take a placement test to continue my studies?
And also, any advice on how to self revise before taking a placement test?

As someone who had been through this before, I would advise you to go take a look at the Minna no Nihongo 1 at Kino and see what lesson you feel comfortable at. If you're only at the first few chapters of the first book, just start fresh. If you're at least in the middle of the book, take a placement test. Placement tests are free and if they think you're okay to start from the middle, you save the money. If not, they'll tell you to start afresh.

Don't bother to do self-revision. It won't help that much if you don't already have an understanding of the grammar.
