1 month is a bit hard to really learn anything. if you have the time, save up a bit more, and stay longer. during that time, do some baito over there -------
as my friends say staying in japan is quite fun, but provided you are able to endure. most of them stayed alone. either they stayed with the uni dorm with lots of foreigners (but its hard to get a place there) or a small apartment that is really tiny. i saw a picture of that. its just a bed on top of a work desk (see ikea furniture design) and that's all. she used to bring a coin pouch when she is showering because her shared-shower is coin-operated. the kitchen and toilets are all shared. she spent around 70,000 to 80,000 for that 1 year (school fees included)

May i ask if you know approx expenses for 1yr study in japan? i checked from internet japanese lang. schools 1yr fee already about 100,000yen..
Where did your friend go for only 80,000yen including accomdation and living expenses??? sounds unbelievable..
my own calculations takes me to almost 20K Sing dollars (total)... jeeez! Please enlighten me, i will be very grateful...!

Gender-specific emphasis gobi: 「わ」、「ぞ」、「ぜ」、「かしら」
These gobi are primarily used just to emphasize something and doesn't really have a meaning per se. However, they can make your statements sound much stronger and very gender-specific. Using 「わ」 is just like 「よ」 except it will make you sound almost sickeningly female (putting different dialects aside). Use sparingly. 「かしら」 is also a very feminine version of 「かな」, which we just went over. 「ぞ」 and 「ぜ」 are identical to 「よ」 except that it makes you sound "cool" and manly, or at least, that is the intent. These examples might not be very helpful without actually hearing what they sound like.

（２）　おい、行くぞ！- Hey, we're going!
（３）　これで、もう終わりだぜ。- With this, it's over already.
（４）　いい大学に入れるかしら？- I wonder if I can enter a good college.

Whoever spent 70-90k in Japan just to study Japanese is obviously either rich or didn't do enough research.

It depends on where you stay really, don't stay at Tokyo and it's actually quite affordable, even inexpensive. Try Fukuoka or somewhere.

The place where I'm going to be studying in December should cost around 33K including accommodation, tuition fees and airplan for a whole year. Add your costs of food and transport and it should be between 42-47k depending on how extravagant you are. It's far from being the cheapest place because of its relatively high tuition fees, but the classes are extremely small (can be between 1-6 people) and fees include teaching material so it's great for short term learning. The reason why I also chose the place is because it caters to people from Europe the US, and the foreign exposure will be fun for me (I'm going there for only one month anyway as part of a graduation trip).

There are plenty of other schools that are much cheaper, although you'll have to be aware that there's a huge Chinese population from China who choose to study at those schools because of the low cost, in case you want a more multicultural learning experience (having a multicultural experience IMHO is more fun).

Check out this page, you'll find that some of the places have really cheap accommodation and school fees. The cost of tuition and boarding only amount to around 14-15k a year. This is for the Kyuushuu Okinawa area; you can check out the costs for Tokyo which have much higher accomodation costs
