I studied at Bunka till Int 4. I skipped JLPT4 and went direct to JLPT3 and passed. But I did self study, of course.
Before starting at Bunka, I had already memorised hiragana/katakana as well as some basic conjugations.

err how come can skip JLPT 4? is it go for all the 4 Int in Bunka can skip?
wonder would able to get cert.?

I think the standard for JLPT 4 & 3 is about the same. Thus, some people might choose the option of skipping JLPT 4 & take JLPT 3 instead.

For me, I have taken JLPT 4 last year. This year going to take JLPT 3.....

help help. i'm going for EL2 exam this coming sun. Bunka school. I know the listening test is gong to up lorry lah, cos i hardly catch wat the sensei saying. (too fast for my lvl).
Any kind soul info me what the listening story the sensei is going to test on me?

You can register for JLPT1 straight if you feel confident. Bunka cert has no value at all.

Although JLPT 3 & 4 are quite similar, I find that I am lost on JLPT 3, esp trying the past yr questions.....

のは cannot be used... the matter about 忘れないでください is done on the matter (明日書類を持ってくる）

Maybe ender or terraj にきいたほうがいいと思います。

in this case, ur no changes the verb in front into a nou. 持ってくる is not a noun so by right u cannot perform an action on it. (think in english we cannot say "forget bringing").

so after u change 持ってくるinto a noun, u must connect it to the rest of ur sentence. はis used to denote the main subject and can be thought of in english as "is". so if we use no wa in this case, it will become "bringing please do not forget" weird, isn't it? u are asking the action to not forget something

since 忘れないでください comes from 忘れる which is a verb, when we connect a noun to it in front we always use を. examples are 手紙を書く、ご飯を食べる.

in other words, no wa CANNOT be used and there is a big difference.

Verbs is generally broken down to 2 types.
-Transitive verbs (他動詞)
-Intransitive verbs (自動詞）

忘れる is a transitive verb (他動詞), meaning to say, the particle (助詞) used is 「を」
There are some other verbs like 落ちる which are intransitive verb (自動詞）, meaning to say, the particle used is 「が」
e.g 桜が落ちました

nice explaination! Think i understand stand now. From what i understand now "no o" is used if a verb follows while "no wa" is used when a state follows "e.g potential, part tense and adjectives". Am i right to say that?
