Hi everyone,

I have been studying at Ikoma for 6 months, now doing Basic 2 term 1. However, due to other personal commitments, I am unable to catch up with the fast pace of teaching there.

I am wondering if I can transfer to another school that teaches at a slower pace without having to start from scratch again? Will this be possible?

Any recommendations of good schools that will allow me to continue from where I have left off?

For those taking JLPT in Singapore, I will also be having a last min revision session on the day itself on the important points.

JLPT N4/N5: 830am-9am
JLPT N1-N3: 1pm-1.30pm

Place: Tables near vending machines.
How to look for me? Person carrying big A1/A2 size boards with a white board.

Those who took N4 n N5, how do you all find the paper?

I thought that the listening for N5 was a bit diificult... N4 grammar and reading quite straightforward...

the mock tests we took at ikoma were much harder -_-
i took N5 btw.
should be able to pass (i hope), lol.

anyone here knows if the test marks are moderated or the marks are taken as it is?

Japanese Textbooks for Free Rental

I am glad to inform that i will be opening up my Japanese textbooks library (around 200 over books) specially for members of HWZ and my meetup to rent for free.

How does it work?

1) Drop me a message with your name, contact number and ISBN Number or the title of the book that you are looking for.

2) Arrange to meet up at Wilkie Edge (where i usually conduct my lessons)

3) Make a deposit of $20 and sign the agreement (in case of any damages, etc)

4) Get the refund of $20 when you return the book in good condition.

Note: Books are only valid to borrow for a week. Any extensions must be requested when you request for the book.

There are some other books which i also have in my other library, so feel free to enquire if you need a particular book. I might have it.

For those who are interested in finding out how the Japanese assessment books for native Japanese students are like (not the JLPT, the native 国語), there is a new section in Kino Liang Court, the levels cover from 小学校 to 高校.

Take note that all these books do not have translation, and everything is read from back, and top down vertical manner. It basically covers extensive kanji words, reading comprehension and essay tests much like our O/A level English and Chinese. No MCQs, just writing.
Model answers are included.

I'm not sure if there's any specific textbooks for those assessment books but that's what I know so far.
