N1 came out N4/N5. LOL

I was quite surprised when i started seeing N1 books. It does overall tests you everything from boottom . But the question is somewhat not the lowest standard (not sure about this), Now i dk if that makes you easy or harder to do, depends on individual.

Say if the standard like O’s or N’s here, it probably be a hell hole.

Not to discourage starters out there.
Do study hard and exam results are not the end of the world.

Do reflect and see which area is strong and weak and where to improve on after this exam.

For N5 and N4 holders.
From my personal experience, I would not recommend you to go for N3, N2 if you do not get 85~90% for your exam as it means your fundamentals (Grammar, Vocab, Listening, Writing, Speaking, switching between your master language and Japanese language) may not be not strong enough to tackle more advanced levels.

Do polish up ALL your areas especially weaker ones!
:D

Good Luck. Have Fun!

One thing I learn (additional advantage of knowing Japanese Language and watching Taiga dramas) is that:

"Upon retiring, sleep as if you had entered your last sleep.
Upon awakening, leave your bed behind you instantly as if you had cast away a pair of old shoes."

Would you like to know how to choose a good book for JLPT? Or get some suggestions on some good books.

This is the 1st time i would be showcasing my whole Japanese books library of over 200-300 books.

I will only be allowing max of 6 members per session. Please note that i will need to count all the books first before you can go off. If you do not agree to this, please do not sign up for this meetup.

Session 1 (this Fri)

Session 2 (next Fri)

Thank you.

Please recommend a Business Japanese guidebook.
Business Japanese books has different types. There is no 1 size fits all kind of book.
You need to get separate books. If you are available, u can attend the meetup shown ↑

E.g email, tele-conversations, etc

What kind of Business Japanese books are u particularly looking for?

Please recommend for email and tele-conversations. Please also advise if there are other essentials that I need to learn too besides email and tele-conversations.

depends on your resources (budget, time, aims, etc)

:D

Hi, I saw Skillsfuture is offering Japanese language courses and keen to take up.

1) My aim is to achieve proficiency in Japanese business and normal conversational level, may I know which N is sufficient?

2) I am currently working and saw that JCSS has after office hours timetable (which I am ok to commit 2.5hrs/week), but the price is so expensive~ :s22: Do I really need to attend classes?

2a) Hougang Japanese is much cheaper, anyone can comment is it good?

3) Is self-learn a lot harder? I am completely new to Japanese language.

1) Level N2/N3. Level 2 is business level, and level 3 is everyday situations.

2) i heard what they learn is alittle dry, and you can search for more cheaper onces but most of them are structured.
2a) wanted to give it a try , but didn’t

3) yes, alot of discipline and time management, which is what i am doing now. If you are doing self studying, have a buddy too.
