for those who took jlpt 2, how long was it after you took jlpt 3? just curious
Think 2 or 3 years for me. Had registered to take JLPT 2 last year but feel sick and couldn't make it. Quite a waste too since I managed to get JCS Examination location which is damn near my home.

I though you already passed JLPT 2?

Anyway I also took JLPT 2 this year and I almost didn't make it in time because of the stupid SITEX causing a huge traffic jam near the Expo. I made it on the dot and they were already playing the exam instructions when I entered the classroom. Those of you who were in classroom 3-13 who saw someone rush in at the last minute, that was me.

And I felt that only the first 2 passages in the grammar portion was difficult. The listening was ok. At least I think I got most of them correct but we shall see next Mar.
No man. Not yet.

I kinda get the feeling that there're tons of people taking JLPT 2 this year. My exam was in West Coast and the whole lot of us are only taking JLPT 2 and nothing else.

Japanese can be so annoying can it? :D 登場is pronounced as とうじょう, but 登山 is とざん. And とうさん = bankruptcy. Sometimes the inconsistent long/short syllables can really drive one crazy. I was lucky though, in my JLPT2 year (2005) I got almost full marks for section one even though I guessed a couple of questions. Too bad my later sections couldn't live up to the standard of the first lol.

I got 登山 right but for 途中 I can't remember what I put either とちゅう or とっちゅう. But then for the 読解 section I'm already prepared to get 0 marks for the first 10 questions since I mostly just randomly picked answers for them.

Lol I find this year passages damn boring and long winded except the part about the university student's trip back from his study. The first passage is the worst. I tikam quite a few of them due to the lack of time reading the all the passages.

Its actualyl quite a chore shading so many circles ne :S Wasted a lot of time doing it lol

I find section 1 and 3 of jlpt3 very very easy.Think at most only 5 mistakes hopefully.but the listening part...:s22::s22::s22:

Let's just say it's gonna pull my marks down significantly,i got more confused in mondai I than in mondai II,but that's just me.:s13:

Thus if I can get above 320,I'll be very satisfied already.

me too! i got lost more often in mondai I, felt that mondai II was easier to catch, or probably i became more attentive

Nope. JLPT3 will never be so difficult that I can got 10 mistakes in a row. It's JLPT 2's reading comprehension I'm talking about.

Hi... JLPT 2: average you need bout 2 yrs... u can go ahead and try, like what i did and gain experience loh... If u pass, u pass, u fail, work harder next time.

JLPT 2: 160 plus sentence patterns with about 10-20 sentence patterns having multiple meanings.

Not trying to pour cold water, but it's a fact... Try this paper and c if u can do it. =)

haiz, I also think the listening is so difficult for JLPT3.

E.g. got this question about the woman delivering goods...i know the answer but got all confused by the options. till now, i still don't know if she's delivering in the afternoon or morning on the day after. Any clue?

and got this question on student sending things to teacher. and the one about arranging meetings ....

total nightmare!

you are so good. 5 mistakes?! I am crossing my fingers that i will pass ...
And i think i will 99% fail my listening.

PS: I also think mondai 2 is easier. i think i got used to the speed.

Some of the answers look quite suspicious. I doubt they are all correct answers.
