I like to add,

since u mentioned u were from bunka,

た+ところ [ int 4 ] is also commonly used with さっき or 今, and in real actual time a while ago like what dimitri_can described.

た+ばかり [ int 2 ] for recent events from speaker's perspective, not necessarily real time.

I recall someone asked one of sensei about this question u asked, so she quoted an example of a refrigerator, which normally have a operating life of 14-17 years, so when the fridge was spoilt 5mins ago after having bought it as recent as only 3 years ago, it becomes

Ok with these 2. Confused about the ~tate one in relation to them. But what a handy example! Thanks for sharing! :D

-たて form is usually used for cooked food.
Source: From my time spent in supermarkets.

:s13:
It's ok, I have faith in THE SUPERMARKET AUTHORITY. Thanks! :D

Another one i found.

「ます-form+たて」 is not a grammar, but a 綴り方.

This is talking about a status of something.

Whereas, the other 2.
You are expressing what happen immediately/shortly after an action has been done.

OK?

Thanks for all the examples. :D

Summary:

「た+ばかり」と「た+ところ」 emphasizes the action that is just completed.

「ます-form+たて」 emphasizes the state of the subject/object after the action has been completed.

:s22: Do let me know if there is no such distinction and it's all in my imagination.

Happy CNY everyone! :s12:

I chosed Bunka because of the patented learning method they teach.. I feel the pace @ bunka is kinda fast sometimes. Never been to Ikoma for class, so cant comment on it.

I have to agree with you to a certain extent on this. Yes, from beginner's course till the end of intermediate course, it's a good place to learn. In my opinion though, from Pre-Advance onwards, Ikoma would be a better choice with a more structured programme for advanced learning
