文化...
どうして?

文化だったら、会話の練習はあまりないと思います。本番の会話練習はPre-advanceからですね。

「みんなの日本語」という本に会話の練習がたくさんあります。それを買って、読んでみたらどうでしょうか。

あと、何が一番難しいと思いますか。文の組み立て(Forming sentences)?

Anyone encounter problems understanding differences between certain grammar?
I am writing some grammar articles to help students understand those and will be good if someone can let me know, so that i can write it to clear the air. =)

Hallo all,

Just started Advanced Class @ Ikoma recently. Would like to join a class where the teacher is strict, in the sense that he/she will not hesitate to point out your mistake. Also hope to attend a class where the teacher is more experienced and good at explaining the grammar points.

Currently, these are the teachers who are teaching this batch's advanced classes:

Ms Yamaguchi H
Ms Motobayashi
Ms Ito N
Ms Atarashi
Ms Hirata
Mr Nagai

TIA!

I find Ito Sensei and Nagai Sensei good but I am assuming that you command a good grasp of Japanese Language including conversation skills.

:D

Hi Jeremiah,

Kind of... I took Jap lessons in Ikoma until 2012 and stopped for three years, so I am not very familiar with the teachers there. Are you a student of Ikoma? :o

Yes, I am a current student. I prefer the senior teachers like Nagai sensei.

Our prep course sensei (Iwata sensei) gave us more advices than teaching us as our JLPT drew close, she said she wouldn't be able to teach us everything, so we need to explore, use and learn anything related to Japan out of school on our own as much as possible. Iwata sensei is very calm and intelligent.

Kanai sensei is good sensei as well, she is well-known among those who took N1-N2, if you have the chance, please join their prep classes and engage conversations with them.

i got to know Iwata sensei when she took N2 prep class the 1st yr she taught. outside class she is very intelligent. But i felt her lessons are a bit boring if u compare her to Ms bullet train (Kanai-sensei). she explains more than Kanai-sensei, but coming to N2 prep, Kanai-sensei will do a better job preparing students for the exam.

Just for info. I am collaborating with one of the Ramen shops here in SG to get some Japanese language exchange and hopefully get some free Ramen. If you are interested, do drop me a pm to find out more. =)

Good evening!
Any intro to any beginner Japanese story book? Felt the need to read Japanese story books to get more exposed to the words..

Sent from Coconut Bun using GAGT

福娘童話集
面白いですよ.様々な物語が集まっています. 小学校基礎レベルまでです.
中学校ぐらい程度を学ぶなら, 紀伊國屋へ見に行ってください.
あそこには小説がありますから.

Hi, took the JLPT for the first time last Dec and am quite confused by what I have received from JCS. :s11:

I received a "certificate of result and scores", as well as a letter asking me to collect the JLPT certificate from JCS. Is that different from what they sent me? What happens if I can't collect it by the stipulated date? Their opening hours aren't very convenient for people who have to work : p

Thanks in advance!!
