I found a place in selling LED downlights/ spotlights on the cheap.

I was quoted the following

LED 12w $45
LED 7w $25

they also have some flourscent t5 going at $10 and $6 (short ones 2 ft I think) the T5 is the cheapest i have seen so far... but not so sure abt the LEDs

is the prices ok or expensive? i dun wanna get chopped but i also wish not to buy in JB, too troublesome.

Just share my experience...I just got my ceiling lights in my bed rooms converted into LED lights. Basically, I keep my housing, they just remove everything inside and change it into LED lights...

Previously my watt is est per light is 90W, now with LED it is only 20W, and it is very bright.

The service provided by this company is very good also...very friendly and their LEDs are not expensive...

Was recommended by a friend...

Go for LED lights! Save electricity, save money!

After doing up my house and now looking for lights to replace my parent's place, I realized that it is better to go for lights that uses E27 LED bulbs.

Embedded LED lights like down lights looks nice and simple but when it konks out years later, we'll have to change out the ENTIRE downlight. I bet only a tiny fraction of the people out here knows how to do that. What with not damaging the plaster false ceiling. E27 LED bulbs can be replaced the same way as the traditional screw thread bulbs. Absolutely no one can not know how to do it very simply.

My two cents opinion as a new house owner.
