As I was looking around, I realized that among all the hardware and components that we talk about here in HWZ, we don't usually talk about lightings as much, even though it is a huge aesthetic component in our pc itself.

Do you guys have any specific brands of LEDs or shops you frequent to?
In terms of adjusting the brightness of the LEDs, do you use fan controllers? or just changing the voltage wiring?
Heck, you hate LED so you use cathodes instead?
Show off your rig here too! =D

Hmm didn't you install a switch to the LEDs as well?

Most people just wire them up directly to PSU 12v and run permanently while system is on.

Most people also dont really care about the brand of LED that they're getting, as long as it works as intended. If you want branded stuff there is always 3M.

If you're getting a single color LED strip, you can simply wire it up to a potentiometer to control brightness.

LED is preferred over cathodes nowadays because LED can simply run directly off PSU's 12V rail while cathodes need inverter which means more space required.

Also LED strips take up much less space than cathodes for the same amount of light produced, but there are still some people who go for cathodes for the even lighting that they produce.
