Lenovo ideapad Y400 battery issues

Hi, I have a Lenovo ideapad Y400 that I bought in April for school work and gaming purposes. But just a week ago, my laptop battery drops from 40% to 6% automatically but when I charge it to 40% to test it out, it does not automatically drop to 6%. Any advice?
