Lenovo T410 Fan Error

Good evening to all

My Lenovo T410 Thinkpad is about 6 years old, bought it around April 2010.

About 3-4 months ago, it keeps showing a "fan error" when I turn it on.
Recently upon every start up it shows "fan error" & shuts down again and I have to blow the vents every single time to start it up.

Any one out there has any solution to this?
Thanks!!

(P.S I don't wanna change a laptop anytime soon because this is still in excellent working condition & I still have 300+GB free space out of the total 464 GB)

There appears to be two methods of resolving the issue, perhaps you can try the first one, and if that doesn't solve it, try the second method.
