Buy from the US Lenovo website... use a forwarding agent to ship it to Singapore cos I think the US website won't allow you to ship anywhere outside of the US...
Can also try Amazon.com - US site...

What I can gather is that there's no global/international rom version at all. Those claimed to be one is just a China rom side-loaded with Google stuff plus English language only.

Can someone who has bought an international/global version please advise?

Thanks for the effort with the detailed write up. It's very educational but I'm afraid you may not have gathered all the facts.

May I ask are you holding onto an "international/global rom" version of the Y700? If yes, can you please advise the full Android version number?

I don't own this tablet... and what's a full Android version number?

Yes... shortly after it was launched, there were some links that sent you to the US website to buy it... I think it said coming soon or something like that... I don't know if that webpage was a mistake or not... but it was on the US website then... I always thought that it was available in limited numbers in the US... which has been the case for the premium P11 tablet...

Right now, even the China ROM tablet isn't readily available from my awareness... possibly cos Lenovo is going to release the newer 2023 version... there are some websites indicating that the tablet may be released in Europe... I'm not holding my breath given how haphazard Lenovo is in relation to their release schedule for their devices...

Simple question: how does one tell, out of the box, whether the ROM is a China rom side-loaded with Google stuff, or a real international/global rom?

Can someone who has this y700 advise that it supports casting to Chromecast and/or miracast, etc. out of the box? Thanks thanks ...

Any recommendations as to where we can get the global rom for Y700? Kind of keen to get this to replace my mipad 5..

ehh china rom need to ownself sideload google play store? global rom is actually china rom with google play store preinstalled? i guess for future updates which is the better choice?

If it's Y700 2023...i dont think theres a gobal rom, even usa lenovo also dont have this 8 inch.

Only China Rom, which i just received today

Headache sia....long time no use CN rom android.

Anyone got the link or guide to install google play store and services...

Can look for it in any of the Android apk repositories... I use APKMirror I think... I searched for Google Play Store... I think that will do... I did it for a Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad 2022 which also runs a China ROM... but the Lenovo China ROMs already have the Google Services Framework installed natively, you just have to dive into the settings to turn it on... I think it's called Google Basics or something like that... then installing the Play Store APK should be pretty painless... you may have to try a few ROMs to find one that works with your tablet then immediately do updates for it... after which installation of apps shouldn't be a problem... that's my experience with the Xiaoxin Pad 2022... I hope it translates well to your tablet too...

By the way, can share how much you paid for it and which platform you used to buy it? Thanks!

Usually i import myself from taobao coz it's still cheaper than getting from lazada, aliexpress all those....but this time round, monmart technology from shoppe after apply voucher $581 net, plus 6 month or 1 year warranty.

Btw, thanks....basically need to go setting, app , top right side 3 dot...tap, enable google services. Than just go apkpure download google play store.

Up and running now.

👍👍👍 Yes Google Play Store itself is just like any other app. Apkpure, apkmirror, aptoide etc are other sources for Android apk including the Google Playstore app.

Trying out other ROMs are completely different things, which involves bootloader unlocking etc. In today's world full of scams, think it's not worth to do that anymore.

Yeah..not flashing rom anymore. Good old days...

Now just slap a nova launcher and leave it lol...

Can you use Nova Launcher, then use full screen gestures and hide the bottom menu buttons?
