Less crowd/Touristy places

I have never been to Taiwan and I would like to visit Taiwan. Is there any places where I could visit during my stay in Taiwan, be it Mountain, Beaches or Padi Field. I enjoy panoramic views and most of all less crowds. Wondering which month of the year has less crowd to visit Taiwan. Thanks.

during typhoon season, much fewer tourists in Taiwan.

weather is hot and humid, much worse than Singapore. Mountain area should be better, I guess.
