GTX 960M is just an underclocked desktop GTX 750 Ti, can play Dota 2 on high-max on 10 vs 10 on Full HD. 4K gaming is unnecessary for such high ppi screen.

Yeah true. But Dell Inspiron 15 7000 is still one of the few laptops in the market which offer a 4k UHD touchsceen. I think they should do some benchmark test to see if the difference between running it at 4k vs 1080p will drop a lot of framerates and see whether if it will impact the long battery life.

That way, people can decide whether they want to opt in the 4k UHD touchscreen or not.

Any more new devices with 6th gen Intel Core i7 processor?

If all 14 pple fighting for the top prize do the same thing, ask the questions u ask but not expecting any answer coz just clocking points, u okay with it? Awareness is when we make our posts meaningful, not ask something that can already be googled off the internet.

I'm not fighting with u in this competition anyway, so it's up to admin to moderate such behaviour, not mine.

piece of advise. there are people looking. :s13:

buy screen protector and cover it scratchless liao but i think don't have to because the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 is designed for the real world.

http://www.dell.com/us/p/inspiron-15-7548-laptop/pd

because that's where it begins
Dell want you to love your new PC for years to come. That's why Dell test Inspiron laptops for reliability not just in the places where you expect it, but for the open road ahead.

Turn up the heat: From locker rooms to locked cars, Dell test Inspiron laptops for survival in harsh short-term heat conditions of up to 65°C/149°F.

Keys to success: Dell test commonly used keys for 10 million keystrokes and touch pad buttons 1 million times with no failure.

Everything hinges on it: Dell test Inspiron laptop hinges to ensure The Dell Inspiron 15 7000 still feel tight, even after opening and closing the lid 20,000 times.

Twist and turn: Call Dell excessive, but after twisting an Inspiron laptop's base and lid 25,000 times, we can assure you the parts inside are well-protected.

Buttoned up: No matter what you set your power and multimedia buttons to do, Dell tested them all to survive up to 40,000 pushes with no problems.

This is the Dell Inspirion 15 7000 for you. The most rugged notebook in the planet earth now :s13:

And no, i am neither the spokespoken nor representative from Dell :o

Wahh they like ikea :s22: stress test their device just to ensure that their hardware is capable of handling abuse.

I guess this is to be expected for the price tag that Dell ask for the Dell Inspirion 15 7000.

but all these are exterior.. havent see Dell test their gaming and media performance for high end games to show us the fps. Dell also mention that their notebook offer long battery life... perhaps hwz can test for us?? :s13: maybe compare Macbook Retina display and 4k UHD touchscreen too..

Good that you all are finding information from other sites. But we want to see more of

your opinion on what works, what don't work based on your experience on past or similar products you have

experience.

Jiayou ok? don't give up!

I prep this before the bonus so might as well just dump in here.

How does the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 pit against my old Acer TimelineX 5820TG? (everything in my own words and experience)

The choice of having a smaller capacity battery in the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 sets one thinking. Will the battery life of the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 with a 3-Cell Battery outlast my Acer TimelineX 5820TG with a 6-Cell Battery? Despite claiming a healthy Up to 8 hours of battery life tagline. I wonder how long can the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 last. On the other hand, my Acer TimelineX 5820TG could hit approximately 5hrs of actual usage with moderate brightness and wifi on.

Easily accessible of back cover for RAM & HDD. From images, we know that the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 hv to remove the entire back plate in order to access the components as compared to my old Acer TimelineX 5820TG, the Acer TimelineX 5820TG comes with dedicated individual plate cover to access the RAM & HDD.

Heat, the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 can get a little heated on its underside which is ok for me as long the heat doesn't falls where the palm rest is. Compared to the Dell Inspiron 15 7000, my Acer TimelineX 5820TG could get pretty hot on the palm rest area which makes prolonged usage unbearable.

As compared to the Dell Inspiron 15 7000, the Acer TimelineX definitely could not have its screen tilted to 180 degrees as compared to the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 which could easily become a tablet at any one time. The limitations on the Acer TimelineX keeps the laptop, a laptop with no added advantage as compared to the Dell Inspiron 15 7000.

The advantage over the Acer TimelineX 5820TG imo is definitely the ability to manually toggle between GPU. Unlike the one installed in Dell Inspiron 15 7000 which switch Between Intel Graphics and NVIDIA with Optimus automatically, I definitely prefer the older one which provides me with more control on which GPU is supposed to be my work horse at any time.

Still, i am a sucker for new technology. I wouldn't hesitate to trade my Acer TimelineX over the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 at any one time :p

so Boss, does the above post equates to my own opinion, what works and what don't work with my experience on past or similar products? :o
