didn't know 15" models are still in demand in the market.

I thought most people who prefer their notebooks to be lighter than before :o

15.6" laptop was too big and heavy to be portable or slot into normal Porter bag or LV tote bag~ :s22:

I guess Dell Inspiron 15 7000 was more suitable for home or office use to safe desktop space without sacrificed performances~

Cater to different markets mah. Must give consumer the choice. Actually a bit sad to see netbooks die off. I guess because tablets have replaced them.

The Dell Inspirion 15 7000 is clearly targeted towards gamers who want the very powerful gaming performance and long battery life.

These are the type of people who don't mind their notebooks to be slightly heavier than the norm(ultrabooks). From the video I can say that Dell has done a good job to squeeze in the hardware into a slim yet compact shell.

I prefer a bigger laptop, 15.6" or 17" but that was not for bringing out to Haolian, but more for putting on my desk or sofa to save table space~

But laptop using have lower performances at higher price, but this Dell Inspiron 15 7000 make a difference against others laptop brands, not only good aesthetics on the outside but also punching performances inside~

And a stunning 4K UHD touchscreen, though I am not sure why the HWZ video have not showcase the 4K purity of the screen, maybe next week~

Many young children now started in their life using laptop, maybe they will not have a chance in their life touching a desktop~ :s22:

Yup~. Agreed. I think most kids start off using laptops and tablet before desktops. I guess they are more used to mobility and portability with all these tablets and mobile phones. I guess in the future ultrabooks will be for the masses and Desktop will become niche industry. Consoles will still be the way to go for gamers. Performance not as good but cheaper and gets the job done. Moreover, game developer like to release their games for consoles first.

So far 15" laptops are usually quite weak in terms of battery life. If normal usage, the laptop can last more than 6 hours, to me it is a winner.

My Acer timelineX 5820tg cannot hit 6hrs as i have post earlier.

Agreed with you, that why for 4k uhd, i will rather get a tv with that resolution if i have the money. For laptop, a fhd screen for work and some occasional gamings will be sufficient and won't be that expensive also as i supposed screen is also one of the pricer component?

IIRC, there is no price different for FHD and 4K UHD model, so it is up to individual preference to select what they want. ;)

bosssaizo = boss
Dr. Vijay = big boss

There is a reason why sometimes we ask certain questions :)

Hint hint. To help you all hit the keywords and give us a reason to give bonus points.

ur last question ask is "student" "gaming" "priority spec" like that next week model is Dell XPS 13 since this wk is Dell Inspirion 15 7000 ?

Yeah true. But Dell Inspiron 15 7000 is still one of the few laptops in the market which offer a 4k UHD touchsceen. I think they should do some benchmark test to see if the difference between running it at 4k vs 1080p will drop a lot of framerates and see whether if it will impact the long battery life.

That way, people can decide whether they want to opt in the 4k UHD touchscreen or not.

4K now for laptop is high tier screen resolution but for budget user like me will stick to HD screen like Dell Inspiron 15 3543, $799 you can get i5 + dedicated GPU it is less than half the price of Dell Inspiron 15 7000 series 4k display pricing can spend few hundreds topup for 4yrs parts & accidental damage warranty, Good to have accidental damage wty, last time i had a dell laptop i manage to claim once for screen crack due to the laptop drop on the floor.

i realised dell singapore is not selling the i7 version of Dell Inspiron 15 7000 (7559).

scared no ppl will buy? but no harm listing mah. since dell dont keep stock one if im not wrong. only when u order, then they will assemble.

Dell Inspiron 15 7000 (7559) is still there :)

6th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-6700HQ Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.50 GHz)

http://www.dell.com/sg/p/inspiron-15-7559-laptop/pd?oc=w510819sgw10

sometimes it is good just to use google to search for the dell laptop model you want easier to find the particular model number :)

Different era. My time is desktop followed by laptop now become tablet and laptops.

Time change the world. It will be worth while seeing what else will unfold in the next 10-20 years... Maybe by then kids dont even rely on tablets ?

Wahh they like ikea :s22: stress test their device just to ensure that their hardware is capable of handling abuse.

I guess this is to be expected for the price tag that Dell ask for the Dell Inspirion 15 7000.

but all these are exterior.. havent see Dell test their gaming and media performance for high end games to show us the fps. Dell also mention that their notebook offer long battery life... perhaps hwz can test for us?? :s13: maybe compare Macbook Retina display and 4k UHD touchscreen too..

:s22: yah, talking about stress test, we have seen stress test for Samsung SD card and SSD~

HWZ going to post any stress test video on Dell Inspirion 15 7000 ? Like roll over by a car wheel, 1m height drop, laptop in high heat or water resistance feature~

But i read some reviews over at dell got people complain not sharp...

4k uhd still not sharp  wu ya bor. i think my current laptop only normal hd already very sharp to me :s13:

Mmm 4k uhd is the best resolution that Dell Inspiron 15 7000 can offer right? don't think got sharper version like 5k yet, maybe still in progress.

price aside, i don't think i can see the differences, eyesight not good.

Yes, I agreed, that's why i am amused some household talking about having 2k or 4k for 5.5" screen mobile phone can see the differences on normal usage~

Maybe Dell Inspirion 15 7000 with 15" can see the differences, I am not sure no sample sets

I mean, i can't tell the difference. Maybe others could ba. Unless i go superstores like courts to see the difference then i will be able to tell.

At home nothing to compare with. I do not have another 4K 55 to put side by side to test

My laptop too small to compare with my TV as well.

hahahahahah they got cover accidental damages for Dell Inspiron 15 7000 already, no need for stress test le

but i don't mind seeing what will happen if it dropped from 1m height as this could happen in real life. rolled over by car wheel i think sure gone case :s13: even apple which seems to have quality mba also cui until cannot

the longer the parts can last the less cost/manpower Dell need to spend for after sale service. Imagine if you need every 2-3mth call dell for servicing faulty parts how unhappy you are and the additional cost dell need to incur for servicing by Dell. I believe they do tests to judge how long the parts can last on average before it fail perhaps that why some people complain their laptop fail right after their standard warranty end

think performance review for their gaming available on those technology website which included benchmark values

either bigger screen or less bulky choose one

if Dell Inspiron 15 series too big for you you can opt for Dell Inspiron 14 series~ 14inch screen yet less bulky for you to bring out yet you still have good specification laptop but remember if you plan to bring out on the go often better pay extra for accidental damage warranty just in case u carry half way and the laptop drop onto floor and break at least got cover
