Kinect not as accurate when u tried last time. Need to be highly zhun in aiming then it can captured.

Hopefully Dell Inspiron with Intel 3D RealSense Camera with Intel® RealSense™ technology is more effective since no one here has played before :o

I fell Kinect still okay, played a few times, so far so good. :s12:

just another question, is this Intel RealSense 3Dme Hello Windows technology open-source or? Why like not many companies take part 1.

This Intel RealSense Camera 3d sensors technology is quite new and expensive to PC manufacturer. Thats why they have to charge a higher price which may make them shy away from implementing it in their PC systems even with Windows 10 Hello.

Also, it adds to the thickness of the screen which goes against the tradition of ultrabooks and other notebooks in the market. Perhaps these factors are the reasons why they hesitate to adopt it.

Hope this helps!

Anyone keen with the Intel realsense developer kit?

Price: $99.00

sdk_base.jpg

Thank you for your interest in Intel RealSense technology! We believe 3D cameras will change the way users interact with their computing devices and can’t wait to see the creative applications that software developers will build. We are currently in the process of building a limited supply of peripheral 3D cameras. This 3D camera, when used with the Intel RealSense SDK, is the only way to take advantage of Intel RealSense technology before systems with integrated Intel® RealSense™ cameras are available
Looked quite pricey though, what is the retail price in Singapore without developer kit?

Can we make our DIY 3D camera with Windows Hello without the need to use Intel realsense camera or Dell Inspiron 24 7000 ?

Unless mass production, otherwise the cost for this Intel RealSense Camera 3d sensors technology will chase away those developers .

cost is one thing, quality is another thing.

Could it be they've upgraded their kinect. Coz I played that like 3yrs ago

Now Intel 3D RealSense Camera with Intel® RealSense™ technology and Windows Hello prices like pretty steep. When I change my new laptop I'll definitely get the one with Realsense camera

Should be highly accurate since the intel RealSense Camera 3d sensor technology is close range and can even detech facial contours etc.

hopefully its capable enough to detect even more detailed objects like a flower (thin stem, complicated depth etc)

Need to add the Intel RealSense Camera before you can use it with Windows 10 Hello.

i think Windows Hello work on Windows 10 platform using fingerprint scan device & camera not just Intel Realsense camera but ofcause Intel Realsense camera better quality can detect your handsome face better haha.

Need hwz to do a video to showcase the accuracy lol

Or else we have to play with the Dell and Intel 3D RealSense Camera with Intel® RealSense™ technology at Harvey Norman

If can detect finer details or complicated stuffs would be best

any one participate in the Intel Realsense App Challenge~? though no Dell Inspiron 24 7000 as prizes~ :s22:

Link: https://software.intel.com/sites/campaigns/realsense-winners/index.html

Intel Software strives to create ecosystems of developers worldwide around new technologies. We challenged developers to create immersive apps using Intel® RealSense™ Technology and interactive features, such as hand/finger tracking, facial analysis, speech recognition and augmented reality.

With the help of the Intel® RealSense™ SDK and the Intel® RealSense™ 3D camera, participants built some amazing and truly novel user experiences.

*21 of the possible 30 prizes were awarded to the developers with Demo Apps whose scores met the required point threshold for each prize level. The point structure for the Challenge was designed to identify the highest quality Demo Apps in each of the 5 categories and award up to 3 Demo Apps in each category with a prize (1 First Place and 2 Second Place Prizes per category). The judges scored each Demo App using the criteria in the rules and once all scores were tallied, 21 of the submitted Demo Apps met the points requirement. No other Demo Apps received high enough scores to have been eligible for the up to 9 other prizes.

This Flight Simulator app seems like make driving aeroplane more tiring than using joystick~ :s22:

Where to participate in the Intel Realsense challenge app.

Tho no prize, so take it as a fun play ba.

Now gaming has become so different from the past. 3D sensor and no need controllers anymore. No fear for spoiled devices or multiplayers problems hahahha.

Windows Hello and Dell Inspiron 24 7000 wan sui~

ytd i was questioning if the intel realsense camera can so called move anot. i think maybe cannot leh.

cause u see the dell inspiron 24 7000, can adjust until fully flat seh.

http://www.dell.com/my/p/inspiron-24-7459-aio/pd?oc=w210811myw10&l=en

select 360 view.

The intel Realsense camera is a piece of pcb(aka camera module) attach in the casing of the Dell inspiron 24 7000's monitor there is no rotation mechanism for it that why cannot move. you wanna move u need move the whole monitor
