Do you need a case that has camera control button coverage?

  • Yes, die die must have!

  • Yes, but only if the case is good quality and at reasonable price.

  • No, it does not matter as long as I like the case.

It looks like there has been many interest regarding the camera control button.

Not exactly because of how cool it looks with the Sapphire Crystal but more on how to protect it.

As most 3rd party iPhone case makers have opted for the cutout, let's do a poll and see how much this matters to you!

some case risk scratching the button due to the nature of the button…rather not cover if that’s the case and stick to my fav case with nice design

I initially ordered Spigen Ultra Hybrid wah the camera cutout damn big even surrounding areas exposed by 1-2cm, quite hard to use also cos of the difference between the case (thickness) and the actual button

Went ahead and got Ultra Hybrid T and it's experience is so much better

I agree. I think that most cases cutout recess will be quite huge as they need to make it not just reachable but also create enough space for the finger to have good contact with the sensor to scroll and utilise the features of the camera control.

If you're going for those ultra thin cases, then the cutout will be gentler.

I would prefer a case that has a built in button to work with the camera control button. The cut out makes the phone look unbalanced left and right.

True, the thicker the case, the more unbalance it looks and also uncomfortable to hold at times as an area of the palm will be pressing onto the cutout all the time when holding and using the phone.

wow, $53 is really stretching it.. Especially for a case that'll turn yellowish within a month of usage.

Based on my experience, it doesn't last that long. However, the yellowing effect may not be that obvious from the first month. Then again, it really depends on individuals as some people have more sweaty and oily palms than others.

For me, it was from comparing with my friend's brand new clear case then I realised.. ohh actually yellow liao lol :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Apple lost its innovation spirit that make them a successful company
Adding a camera button calling it an upgrade sucks!

Under utilisation of the button, right now.
How ah? Wasted precious real estate in the phone’s body.

i tap screen faster than try to press the button.

hahahaha so true, only the very small minority will really use the camera control often.

It can fight with the action button and see which one is more useless 🤣🤣

I prefer to have only 3 buttons (power and the volume controls) just like the Google Pixel’s

I use it. And I love the additional pro controls. Coming from a DSLR user.

The only annoying thing is the current case. The cutout makes the button not responding well. Like hard to reach the actual camera controls.
