To those silent readers who are interested in G Pro 2, I highly recommend to try out the demo set first at telco stores

Don't just listen to us but try and feel it by yourself

When buying stuff don't just follow the crowds but make sure:
- It suits your needs & budget
- It's working as advertised without many or zero problem
- You're happy!

For myself, I didn't try the demo set and straight away buy from based on the phone specs and this thread (this thread is too evil ).

Should have avoid this thread so that I wont have to upgrade my phone so soon.

But but, I have no regret thanks to all the bros here. Yeah!

The big 3 all concentrate on Samsung and Sony so they dun really care about other brands ba. either that or LG dun have plans for free gift with the phone. Anyway g pro 2 price is very reasonable already comparing the specs and price with note 3 so maybe thats also the reason

Nope, I bought Sandisk Ultra one
I don't need the fast transfer speed ba coz I rarely transfer stuff, probably only when got new music videos I want to watch on the go

Don't worry, now this phone should be able to last for sometime since Snapdragon 800 is already overkill

I have been through so many phones S4, Note3, Oppo N1, Sony Z, iPhone5S, Optimus G, G Pro1, G2 and currently Gpro2. I even bought my Gpro2 twice.

I haven't try HTC coz I dun like the tingling feel on the metal rear when I am charging the phone. Sony ringtone not suitable for me plus brightness need to be at 80%. N1 storage too small. Samsung and LG, both ok for me. Fruit phone the zoom to read words got limit.

for me, i can tahan all the poison. cos i dont see the need to keep changing phone. only reason y i bought is cos it's time to recontract n starhub gave me $100 voucher. so...paid only $139. almost like a no-brainer.

n i agree this phone should last me for at least another 2 yrs. i only use for watching videos n play the occasional games. for calls i hv company phone to use.

To each their own perception bah.

When I was using my Note 3, I had 2 x spare batteries in my bag. One battery cost me about 8 bucks each. My Note 3 battery life is about 3.5 days. Yes I need to peel off the back plate ( takes me 1 second ) I need to take out the used battery ( another second ) I need to put in the charged battery ( another second ). Total 3 seconds and I get full 100% battery life. On top of that, one battery is roughly the weight of an eraser. Battery charge up time is about 3 hours.

I also have a 11,000mah portable 2A charger. Problem is, its heavy like a brick. I don't need 3 seconds to change battery and I can simply plug it in to charge but how long before the battery will be 100% ? If I need to use my Note 3, the battery life will never be filled up. On top of that, how much is the 2A 11,000 mah portable charger ? Portable Charger use till finish from zero charge to max took me 9 hours.

Ease of use :
Batteries = 3 seconds. Portable charger = 1/2 second

Cost :
1 Battery 8 bucks. The battery charger is USD$3.97 each. 1 x 10,000 2A portable battery charger ( really close to 10,000mah capacity ) how much ? It can never be less than 15 bucks.

Time to get to 100% :
Battery = Immediate. Portable Charger = Depends.

Weight :
Battery = Weight of Eraser. Portable Charger = Definitely weighs a lot more.

You miss 2 more steps
1. proper shutdown of the phone ~ 3 to 5 sec? (before changing the battery)
2. Start up the phone ~ 3 to 5 sec? (after inserting new battery)

Use powerbank, skip all the above steps

Anyway, we change phone like change cloth like dat (less than a year). So to me, getting spare battery & charge are a waste of $$$. High capacity Powerbank is more cost effective as it can be used for phones with built-in battery or removable battery and tablets. The only con - heavy as a brick

Since Pro 2 has huge screen. You guys should set the font from the default Small to Large (global effect). You will love it. Every fonts in every apps will become bigger including Facebook among others.

Now, you can facebooking with big fonts.

No point using the Small font with such huge screen phone. Super wasted the huge screen.
