The 10i firmware got remove the lag when pulling down notification shade, scrolling app drawer and pressing home button not ah? I use a g3 and g pro 2 side by side at m1 shop and the g pro 2 much much smoother :s22:

I running 10i firmware. In normal day-to-day use, the UI is generally responsive and lag-free, with the occasional hiccup. But I notice immediately after heavy gaming, it will lag and stutter although it recover quite fast after that.

In G2 go to LG Backup (or Backup...I forget) then make a backup file.
That backup file should be saved in the LGBackup folder or USB (whereever you chose to save it)...Move it to G3 or plug that USB on G3
On your G3 go to settings, General, back up and reset
Use LG Backup service...should be straight forward...
It might warn you that backup is from another device, but that is OK
Everything should transfer, even SMSes

Does Qi wireless charging works with a plastic back cover on the phone?

I used the G3 for about 2 mths plus already, got it when it first launched.

No hardware problems so far everything working great.

Software-wise, got some minor issues. Sometimes tapping the recent apps button will show that there are no apps running in the background, and have to re-tap the button 2 or 3 times before the recent apps will show up. Besides that, the phone also has lag and stutter, but nowhere as bad as my old Samsung S4.

Same here.. Need tap few times before can see recent app.

Btw how to set the home key to show recent app?

As in hold down the home key to show recent app instead of Google now..

Crack at bottom microphone hole area

Last week I noticed that my phone have crack at the bottom microphone hole area.
I immediately brought it to LG Service Center to have it replaced as I never dropped nor mistreated my phone to have that crack. To my surprise the customer agent who attended to my phone instantly said that it's a wear and tear issue and is not covered by warranty. I told him that it's not a wear and tear issue as it's a crack. I would understand if it's a scratch or dent but it's definitely a crack. I have done my research a lot if someone else encountered the same issue I have and seems that it is existing globally. They have contacted the LG regarding the matter and said that if anyone have the same issue they should go down to their nearest LG service center and have it replaced. LG did not elaborate on the issue but they only said that only few batches are affected with the cracked bottom hole and have since resolved the production issue. Back to my story, I told the customer agent about LG issuing a statement to replace the cracked microphone hole area and he only said that there was no advice on them. He can only do is to bring it to top management and see if I can get discount for screen replacement.

Since I failed to have the cracked microphone hole area replaced, I go back home and emailed LG with what I encountered in their service center. The csr who responded me in the email told me to bring my phone to the service center and have their technicians checked and will do necessary actions. But then I told them that I already went there and they refused to replace my screen. I told them to clarify first with LG if there was indeed such memorandum to replace the cracked microphone hole area before I come down again to their service center. A day after they have called me and said that they will replace the screen for me and will send my old screen to the LG for further investigation. So the next day I come to LG and my screen was replaced and it took only 30 minutes to finish.:s13:

For those who have encountered the same crack as mine, better go to the service center right away to have your screen replaced. BTW the price for the screen is around 190+ (forgot the exact figure) before GST.

Here is the link on which LG has responded regarding the crack issue.
Just replace "_" with "." as I am not able to post link as of the moment.

I think it's safe to assume that LG will change everyone's bottom part if the microphone Crack were to occur.

Haven't seen this on the F460 yet. The snapdragon 805 packing F460 performs a fair bit better than the D855. I've done side by side day to day use comparisons. If you're getting a new set, get the F460.

Personally, I think G3 is a very good phone. I own Xperia Z2, iphone and S4 in the past, and imo the G3 is the best among these. I can live with the occasional stutter and lag so its not a big prob for me. But I know friends who are totally allergic to lag and thus this could be a deal-breaker for them. Depends on whether you consider this an 'issue' or not.

But for the relatively cheap prize compared to other flagships, you get fantastic screen, one of the best hp camera (as good as the Xperia Z2), lots of good features like the IR remote and knock-on, good build quality and top of the line specs. Very good package worth buying imo.

You're spot on. The F460 lacks the stutter on the D855 though. Although I think the best soc to handle this type of resolution in future will be the 810 when most of the content lying around is 2k standard.

Where to get the F460 and does it come with a local warranty?

Interested in getting a F460 but does this model work on singapore 3g/4g services?

Currently on M1 3g service.
