gotta wait for the price plans from the telcos, June?
That's the difference between ips and amoled screen. Got to see object's original color to determine which one produce a closer to original color. .
But seriously I don't really care about how absolute the colour accuracy is since I don't use my phone as a professional tool.
Most importantly the screen must look good to me since its the only thing that interacts with me all the time.
Of course I now prefer ips over amoled as I find it the be ever so slightly sharper.
LG Corporation (Korean: LG 법인) formerly Lousy Goods (Korean:Laozee Geumseong (럭키금성/烂货) )
Never trust LG since optimus one. The sensitivity of the screen is **** that time.
imo, that's taking a sample and considering it to be the general conclusion
no lcd panel is the same as another and the same applies for amoled
if you were to compare S5 and G3, it wouldn't really be fair to dismiss off amoled as being unsharp. The G3 is QHD with over 550ppi, the S5 is FHD only at about 400ppi iirc.
Amoled's inherent weakness of being less sharp due to it's pixel layout drastically drops as the pixels become more tightly packed. Erica Griffin did a detailed analysis about this in last year's S4 review and should there be a QHD Amoled display, I'm quite sure the difference would not be noticeable.
However, with regards to colour accuracy, amoled has always been over saturated and vibrant in default setting vs IPS which is generally slightly more accurate. But the irony is that 3rd party manufacturers like LG and HTC have been trying to emulate amoled's colour vibrance by tweaking the software to make things appear more saturated and vibrant as well.
Phone died last week and just nice can sign contract so went to go take S5.. now a bit regret that I couldn't wait for this, but then bo pian needed phone.

need to pay more for LTE soon... sianz
no la... no need to pay liao....telcos lost the case.
I prefer IPS screens for this simple reason, had an s2, but the colour was so saturated then it gave me a headache from over use
I thought for new customers they still need to pay?

The 16GB model will retail for $868, while the 32GB model will cost $928. Customers who pre-order will receive a free Quick Circle case (worth $98) and Wireless Charger (worth $68).
I thought Quick Circle Case support wireless charging? The rrp for the quick circle case is so expensive.....mark up until siao. And its not even the wireless charging version. If thats the case i shudder to think how much they gonna price the wireless charging one when they sell it here.
