How do you feel about the screen? Some of the reviews have commented that the screen is pretty bad with low contrast ratios compared to the other flagships. Do you feel it's an issue?

I never understood the logic behind putting the LED notification on the back of a phone. To encourage people to put their phone screen down and risk scratching it..?

Most phones dun have these.

Anyway I don't like the back led on my G2 back previously. It doesn't make any sense and why should people know i am using my phone? It makes me a easy target in the dark.

1. good thing to have, but without it, it doesn't hurt. Most flagship phones don't have it either.

Now with G3, it's gonna follow the majority phones again (but then the speaker is still facing back?!)

imo they using different test methods, thats why. But at least we know that G3 battery life is at least acceptable, if not good.

The laser autofocus is unique and interesting. However the phone performance and battery life is disappointing.

The screen brightness will automatic gradually reduce when the screen is not touched. The max brightness will also be limited to 90% when the phone is too hot.

The battery life is worst than g2:

Web browsing

video playback

3d benchmark at full brightness

It is also hotter than g2 and the others 801 soc phones.

Honestly, are some people just too obsessed with long lasting battery life?

I think with such QHD or other 1080p screen models including other brands, the battery life is considered quite good already!

Also, you can't compare it with G2's battery life as G3 and G2 are in a different league altogether.

Not too worry!

S5 still can fetch a high resale price in the HWZ's pasar malam thread and then use the money to fund the G3!

You may just ended up paying less than $200 - $300 for a brand new G3!

So, bro! Go for it...G3!

for me, the display seems great.

as for contrast, can't compete with Super AMOLED.

personally i have no issue with the display (except its high power consumption). =P
