Talking about it. G2 was thick where the battery bumps up at the back.

LG should be able to solve that problem to make G3 slimmer.

i dont think so... OPPO find 7 & VIVIO XPLAY 3S packs a 2k display too. and they r thinner. most likely LG boost the batt.
if its really 10.5mm, i'll give it a miss.

The display is claimed to be only 1.2mm thick, so I don't think that's why. Perhaps a larger battery to bring forth longer usage per charge, like what Computeron said. We're dealing with a possible Snap 805 and a 5.5" QHD display here. We have 2 weeks more to go before it gets officially announced!

However, with the supposed S5 LTE-A leak, I might get swayed though (hope not!).

Possible. G3 needs a buklier battery to cater for the bigger power consumption of QHD.
