Samsung representive did a check on mobile phone retailers on how much consumers are interested in LG G3. Guess they are afraid G3 sales will pull their S5 down. :s13:

They have to be very afraid.... they lost ground in Korea big time,

wow.. the rrp kind of steep... hope the actual selling price will be around $600-$700++ for 32gb......

Thats when LG as a brand don't get much attention and don't have a good resale price help..... :D

this time round maybe different liao.. was working at one of the telco shop and alot of people came and view the g3 and say they wanna get it. and putting G3 and S5 side by side, G3 totally owned it lol

Fyi, Starhub Tampines Mall has got a black demo set on display.

My first impression -

- Strangely light, which is very good. (the back gives you the impression as if you are about to hold a heavy-duty metal phone)

- Comfortable in my hand. (May leap towards uncomfortable, if put on a armour like case)

- Compared dimensions with my G2 and it seemed not very far off.

- Tested the camera, auto focus indeed super fast compared to my G2

- Speaker volume, similar to my ex-Note 2

- At times it seemed a little laggy as compared to my G2 (possibly, bcos of the bloat and no user tweaks done yet)

Wanted to test the phone more but there were 3 more souls queuing behind me to get a hold on it.

For me it seems like a natural transition from G2 to G3 no questions about it.

Love the fact that it has got -

Knock-on (personally, I hate physical buttons)
Removable Batt
MicroSD (Thank-GOD!)
Pure RGB Notification LED (Though, it seems slightly smaller then my G2 but bright enough and 1000 times better then my ex-HTC One M7)
OIS+ Camera (always a fan of this technology)
Wireless Charging (its about time)
FM Radio (Keeps me entertained on long overseas bus trips)
Stunning looks (personal take)

Tried the demo set at Jurong Point. Many parts of the UI have a lag to it. A bit disappointed by this.

Does the g3 lagg because of its 801? hmm they said there would be a 805 variant of the g3 coming soon

im currently torn between HTC m8 and LG G3

tried the LG g3 today as well. there were many pros about it but just wanna highlight the cons:

- phone was pretty darn hot after a short while of me fiddling with me (might be due to intense usage by previous customers?)

- as mentioned, the UI was laggy. even when playing videos or going into folders/apps there was a lag of 1-1.5 sec. i was told that the display set has 2gb ram but the one hitting stores will be 3gb ram (might have a smoother experience?)

- battery life required to support the QHD graphics?

these are the few striking ones i can recall off the top of my head. as for HTC m8, i feel that the sense UI is much smoother, but the phone is really much heavier compared to lg G3.

anyone got any opinions?
