have u guys played w the M8 lately? I was at Telco caressing both phones today n I thot the m8 gives a better user experience n fluidity..screen is nicer n the cam I find is more snappy..dunno y G3 seems to gather more interest. purely from a personal point of view, I'm neither brand's fanboy..any opinions are welcome
Coming from a smartphone addict
who is an ex M8 user (Last 4 months:Lumia1020->M8->find7a->G3, I had experience s5 and iphone 5S quite a bit from my sis & wife's phone ) and a current G3 user:
-in terms of snappiness, M8's sense6 > G3 > S5
Not because of any inferiority but rather it is how their specific UI had been tweaked to behave.
It is like
-the taiwan boss want his worker to think aloud, report a lot and deliver in a specific time
VS
-while the korean sammy boss want his worker to just silently deliver in the same specific time
-althouth both deliver at the same time
Nevertheless, if you are into snappiness do this:
-Go to Settings->Developer Options
(You have to click on phone build no. 7 times first to unlock the above option)
-change the transition animation scale, the animator duration scale and the window animation scale to 0.5.
This little tweak will speed up your phone drastically
Screen wise,
-Sammy's super amoled is always the attention seeker although i find it fake imho
-I am neautral for M8 & G3's (QHD's screen in real life practical application/usage had yet to be explored)
Camera wise,
-M8's settings(you can even manually control shutter speed! although it's function is rather lackluster compared to 1020's), features & post processing
reigns supreme
-G3 is faster on capturing, better HDR, better quality/clearer photo, better night shoot (4 ultra pixel just CMI sadly and it does not perform up to standard in night shoots unless the object absolutely still)
All in all imo, what charm me the most on the g3 is that,
-you have a 5.5 inch QHD screen on a phone that is almost the same size as the competition (is that, S5's 5.1, M8's 5 & z2's 5.2)
-and the phone is great to hold and utilized with single hand (no 5.5 inch phone had reached this standard at this point imo)
-not to mention the design is great!
