Though I like G3 lot.... I love my G pro even after a year... It is still going strong and looks as good as brand new one.... Somehow I still find G Pro is the best Android phone....

I'm thinking of changing my S5 for a G3, but got 2 questions bugging me, wonder if you guys can help?

1) I used G2 previously and after kitkat update, it was almost impossible to get a GPS lock or had to wait a few minutes even outdoors, made the navigation on Maps almost useless. However, on the S5 is at most a few seconds outdoors. Any such issues on the G3?

2) Read up on several random reboots and shut downs of the G3, anyone here experience it? Any solutions?

For both 1 and 2, no such problems for me.

got it from M1. but probably letting it go as the battery per %cannot stand more than 5min. got it from m1.

Battery not optimized? Likely. The battery life of this phone isn't that bad. It's better than the oppo find 7.

Weird. My auto brightness like not working. Dit sticks to the amount i set on the slider. Where is the sensor? Scared it might be blocked due to the screen protector.

Just beside the receiver grill on top. Try covering it with your hands, the screen should turn dark.

Quite true.G Pro works superbly when upgraded to kitkat.the only thing i wanna change is because G3 looks more chio!

I'm on m1 so far no problem.

Perhaps you wanna check your mobile network settings and make sure it lte if your plan supports.

hey guys, just wanna share my experience thus far.

coming from the note 3 here

Pros
size - that screen size and making it so much more pocketable? WIN! (this was my primary criteria)

screen - ive always preferred the more natural colours vs amoled screen cos of the pictures that i take. hate seeing a completely differently colored picture on my comp when i upload.

responsiveness - (touchwiz.....le sigh).

battery life - is better than note 3, the standby time esp..zomgwtfbbq is awesome!

camera - with the OIS, night shots are pretty darn decent now and less grainier than my note 3. day time shots are slightly better than note 3 to me cos of the slight edge in the natural colour to me. ALSO. laser autofocus! PEW PEW FAST!

sound ouput - strictly via 3.5mm jack, its a hell lot better than my note 3. comparing to the ZX one, i'd say i doesn't have as wide a soundstage or as good as mids and bass.

comparing to an ipod touch, there isn't much of a difference. i hated the note 3 ouput but with the G3 output i dare say i wouldn't mind listening to this everyday!
my testing is purely subjective using lossless music played by poweramp through my noble audio K10 customs. will try out bluetooth audio when im free

cons
resellabilty - value drops quicker than.....well it drops fast

heat - it does heat up a little more than ur usual phone during gaming. the temperature is pretty much the same as other during normal tasks like texting, facebooking and watching videos.

screen - the text in my chrome is a tad too thin, could be because of the sharpening. i prefer it rounded. will experiment with fonts and report my findings.

optimisations
- the usual animation,transition scales in developer options can make it snappier. i left it at 1 though.
- download android tweaker 2 and use the auto tweak to balance.
- BIGGEST change! under developer options, switch from dalvik to ART! the phone has become a lot smoother and snappier! apps respond instantly, multitasking doesnt lag. even the delay i had with my swiftkey is gone! its very very smooth now to me.

overall loving it so far.

shoutout to jimmy for his glass screen protector. 10million times better than nillkin. more oil resistant and easier to clean

Only note 3 is currently enabled for ST.. There is setting in the phone that says VoLTE

LG G3 10days exp

Is on 10 days now with my New LG G3 which replace my old S3 non LTE.

Before that , was scare off by all the review about the battery life due to QHD.
But after experience it, hello is way super! can one shot play the fishing games and summoner wars with screen on close to 6hrs on 4G. This a great upgrade for me from S3 which only manage 3hrs+ with 3G. And the standby time was great, hardly drop 1% for 3hrs idle. S3 once unplug, already start dropping 10% within 2hrs ( maybe too many bloatware in samsung). Can relief abit now, and also the charging time was super, within less then 2hrs fully charges from 3%. Not sure for others flagship but if can live on last year model battery life , can say it way better now.
