Nevertheless, if you are into snappiness do this:
-Go to Settings->Developer Options
(You have to click on phone build no. 7 times first to unlock the above option)
-change the transition animation scale, the animator duration scale and the window animation scale to 0.5.

Might as well change to 0 instead.

Hi all,

Switched from Z2 to LG G3 on Saturday. Very satisfied with the phone. But some issues. I realised there are scratches on the laser and a small scratch on the back cover. I regretted not noticing these scratches when I was checking the phone. I just send a message to LG, so waiting for their response. For the cover if it cannot be changed, I am still ok with it. But for the laser, may I know if it can affect the operation of the laser? I wonder why there are so many scratches on it and why they nvr use a stronger material. It seems to be just a plastic cover.

The laser cover is just like your TV infra red remote control cover, a standard piece of plastic. Those get scratched easily but it probably does not affect the function.

It won't be as smooth as G2 as the SD801 is powering 2K screen instead of the common 1080p (which it is supposed to be optimised).
Unless SD805 is powering the G3, it won't be as smooth as the other flagships.

But why they still produce this phone when they know that s801 is not powerful enough for qhd screen . they risking themselves?

Quick question for my g3 users here. I flashed to the latest update and for some reason, I can't find apps like up by jawbone and photofy when using my g3. I can find it on my oneplus one though. Both are on StarHub network. Anyone with similar issues?

I also make sure to check that. Not only the infra red plastic but the flash one too. Both are easy to detect under reflections. All the g3 sets I've had my hands on ... 4 in total only 1 was perfect. The other 3 all had either scratches on infrared or the flash plastic or, both. Thing is most people don't check so lg gets away with it. In fact Samsung devices also suffer the same thing.

That's one turn off for the phone and for me I couldn't stand the LCD. Its super washed out and dull although sharp. The photo gallery also takes a hell long to load the sdcard photos and worse still sometimes the spinning arrow turn nonstop till I have to tap the screen then the image will display. I've now dumped all the g3s I had and am back to my s5 naked. Nothing beats amoled and I must say the camera on it Still very good.

For you I think you were better off with the z2.

Scrolling was fine for me when I used it although I did use nova instead of the stock launcher.

If you perform a reset then all default lg alls will be gone. Not sure if firmware update does the same thing though

I wouldn't say the LCD is washed out at all. Coming as a user of Note 2, 7.7, S2 and S, I'll probably say you are used to the vibrant colours of the AMOLED. The screen on a G3 is pretty good on its own.

I beg to differ. Even comparing with a z2 you can see that its washed out. There's also one YouTube video that demonstrates that where the g3 must have a brightness of 70 percent to compare to others. Among other things the implementation of text sharpening kinda was overdone - I'm pretty sure you've seen this on some websites with tons of text.

As I can't post full links here and since I'm on mobile do a search for keywords "lg g3 washed out colours" and view the 2nd link. It should be a YouTube video that demonstrates the display quality against a oppo find, a g3 and s5 lte-a set to cinema mode (cinema is the less saturation).

Do check it out.

Hi bro, I was glad I left Z2. I had a super bad time with Sony. I had lost my trust. I had changed 7-8 sets. What was the reason? Phone with dents, paint drops, bright stuck pxiels, dead pixels and worst of all self operating. My final set which I thought I got finally settle down with the Z2 when it started to operating on its own. My final set had its screen replaced instead as I had decline for a new sets after changing 7 sets in total.

The phone would enter apps, scroll through the apps, open the music player, play the songs, change the songs, go to homescreen, turn on youtube, play videos. I not even touching it. I guess the screen had some issues. Even when my finger was hovering like 1-2cm above, the screen would appeared to be touched. Sony stuff initially say its was the metal bumper that I used but I told them that the demo set at the service centre actually had it but just that no one make noise about it. My friend was with me and he was my witness by taking videos of the demo set. I went to this extend as the Sony stuff kept saying I'm the first to experience this issues. Even my friend who got a Z2 do have the stuck pixels. But he is ok with it. I guess this is individual preference. But he may plan to send it in if it get worst.

I spend every weekend at the service centre and rushing there during weekdays after work. I had already make friends with the people there, haha :) I given up, full refund was finally settled.

I do agree that the LG lazer thingy do get scratched easily. I have send an email to LG, see how they respond. This G3 is also my first phone from LG and the Z2 was also my first Sony phone. Overall, I would go over to LG from the bad experience with Sony.

Crap I'm not clear enough. I meant I can't find those apps in play store on my lg g3 while I see it on my one plus. Both using same provider StarHub and same Google credentials..

Wah Lau the laser thingy scratches quite easily is normal la. Look at any remote control which has a laser IR in front and there will be plenty of scratches. Mine has a long scratch but it doesn't affect the functionality of the auto focus at all. Chill guys.

My ex - Z2 overheating just pissed me off.

I am quite the Sony fan boy with lots of Sony products around the house but I'm glad to be rid of their mobile products, Z2 phone and tablet.

Nah, I'm pretty fine with the screen of G3. Even when compared with the others, it's pretty okay on its own.
