On the whole, I feel that the update (without factory reset) makes the phone run smoother - transition between screens is fast.

Scrolling is smoother than before in lolipop (no occasional stuttering)

Battery life have to wait for awhile to monitor.

I upgraded to 20C, the phone booted but the notification bar and home button are missing. Tried doing factory reset but it did nothing after I tapped the confirmation screen. My PC can't detect it either. Doing a hard reset now to see what is going to happen.

Hmm any more problems to report with 20c? Or what stuff does it fix...?

it's a little smoother. The battery drain is still there. I'll give it a week to adjust, or else I'll switch to oneplus one.

one of the main reason I switched to G3 from Nexus 5 was the battery. it was great on KK, but I can't get the same result with Lollipop no matter what I did

Yea, and battery saver apps don't work with lollipop any more cos they can't toggle data on/off as needed either...

Oh well, at least the update doesn't break more stuff.. Lol... Thanks...

Some people said that factory reset is recommended after upgrade to Lollipop to avoid the battery drain issue. They reported much improved battery life after the factory reset.

The first time I upgraded to Lollipo from KK, I did a factory reset. I used the backup/restore menu from the phone to backup and restore my data. I still got terrible battery life.

Yesterday I upgraded to V20C from V20B and I repeated the same process. Battery life is even worse than before.

Is it possible that doing a backup and restore causes that? I'm planning to do another factory reset, but this time without backup and restore. I'll setup my phone MANUALLY from scratch. I'd like to see if my battery life improve.

Any opinions on that?

update from 20b to 20c this morning via the LG Mobile support tool. Didn't encounter bootloop issues. Have not done factory reset after update, will monitor the battery performance.

When i first connect the phone to the pc and start the program, it prompted me to update the phone os in order to update to 20C. Don't know why.

Updated to 20c thru OTA. No issues. Battery life seems to be worse.
