Need some opinions from g3 bros here. I lost my sony z3c, so now contemplating getting g3 since now brand new is 450 sgd. My main concern is batt life and software stability, z3c had been good but now brand new costs 530sgd.

of course change new phone must try new brand (for me,nvr try lg b4). So shld i go ahead with lg g3?

Batt life and software stability ok.

My usage patterns yields about 1.5 days (2-3hrs SOT) and little talk time.

So far no issues with stability.

If within budget, can consider G4. My friend just got a G4 for $685 (brand new leather version) with free charging dock and LG view case.

I bought a used G3. After using for a while, it will appear Sims remove error n phone will reset, at time, no service or no sims but after reboot, it is ok. These hapoened many times. Anyway to solve this problem?

My lg G3 ,32gbnow with lollipop 5.0,v20i. Using lg root script c1.2 but unable to root. Rather want to back to kk for better battery life n root. Has anyone manage to back to kk n where to get the stock kk rom, or will it worth back to stock kk firmware? As I need bolder font due to my age. Current font types not bold enough, but need to root to install custom font type.

XDA has download links, else you can always pick a KK code version to google, the net still has full stock KK roms, then flash a KK rom of your choice. You will need to flash stock KK rom first if you wanna downgrade coz the bootloader version of KK is different from LP. Its the only way I know so far.

I successfully flashed back to KK from LP before. But after a while I flashed back LP. Battery life might be slightly shorter in LP, bit the performance is much better, doesn't crash when running intensive apps.

LP stock roms can be rooted mah. Strange yours can't be rooted.

They will also do basic phone calling testing.

So your phone must at least function as a phone before they accept.

just now plugged in my G3 to charge, phone was off, it showed a battery logo with a yellow triangle sign and an exclamation mark in the middle...

charging did not start.. stuck at 0%..

so I changed to my other battery and it started charging..

could it be that my battery is damaged?
and is it covered under warranty?
both batteries are original LG and I wonder how long is the warranty for G3 batteries..

Spin the battery and check for any slight bloatness...

Usually at that point if you leave it charging for something like 5 minutes it will revert to normal...but usually that only happens if the battery was inactive for a long time..

My last 2 trade ins with StarHub Shop, they checked all the accessories like cables and chargers are original and good working condition + the phone can power on and that's about it.

Didn't recall them doing any test calls. This procedure might vary however.

probably try LG service center. I think there are some sellers selling G3 batteries on Qoo10 as well - but not too sure if they are original.
