Hi, how do u uninstall all telco thing? I can only disable, but not uninstall. When i insert the sim card, only option is to reboot, which installs all the telco (my is Starhub) thing.
Previously on G3, there is a option to cancel the reboot thing when i insert the sim card.

Any advise? Many thanks in advance

Mm will there be any issue if I clear my credentials? Just realised I'm having issues with installing 3rd party apps also where I can't click on the install button..

Resolved the install button issue. Somehow my blue light filter is preventing installations.. Weird. Now to solve the knock code issue..

I find LG's default launcher quite sleek though (compared to touch wiz of cos). nova launcher more customizable?

One thing i cannot understand, why they dont include the unread notification. Need to use nova + telsra to have that function. That's one thing i miss in touchwiz

It was already mentioned that you should not click "OK" to reboot. You should ignore the pop-up and reboot the phone manually, then the telco apps wouldn't be installed. Why don't you try to factory reset? Otherwise you'll need root to uninstall those apps.

i think most of the telco bloat ware can be uninstall fr the app drawer..i have unistall most of them...

So, when i insert the sim card, i juz press the on/off button to reboot the phone rite? Since there is no "cancel" option. Ok. I'll give it a try tonight. Thank you

For samsung phones, i know can press certain codes to remove the bloatware, not sure if LG has this function

Aight will post a screenshot when I get home and do a full charge. Avoiding a charge in the office so that the results will be more accurate.

Give a screenshot of battery usage, particular the components

go to Settings>General > Battery & Power Saving> Battery Usage> Scroll down to component level & Screenshot that

do this preferably after a full charge and leaving it overnight when ur not using it.

I personally think that if its the same issue with your butterfly s, its highly likely there is a rogue app somewhere cos the butterfly s is purported to have good battery life

also could you tell us

1. ur regular usage pattern
2. brightness level
3. did u install any of those "battery saving" apps like cc cleaner or juice defender?

I left my phone charging overnight, unplugged it for more than an hour and continued sleeping.

Surely the first three process should not be using so much battery when my phone is idle?

I don't have any battery saving apps, and my screen brightness is 30% or less.

I've since stopped the GSAM app from running and used the phone's battery percentage indicator and I find it weird that both also show that the phone battery life is still at 100% when I've already used it for a while - turning on wifi and using bluetooth to transfer these screenshots to my computer. Argh like everything also not accurate..

Why worry so much about bloatware? Its not as though our Telcos installed few Gigs of apps in our phone. Its only a handful of them and probably use less storage than 1 photo we take.

Also, its not intrusive and does not use any resources at all.

Why make yourselves miserable and worry for nothing?

Just enjoy the phone and put more attention to people around you who needs care and love.

Some bloatware run automatically at startup, draining battery power in the background.

I don't see any apps running in the background except for those I use and Google ones.

SingTel apps definitely are not using any background resources at all.

As many has stated, you can always disable them if it's eye sore and they won't appear or run at all.

I think most of the company went for Chrome browser only? Samsung S4 & HTC B2 got their own browser but I never like it

Those who are bothered by bloatware can also use a third party launcher that can hide apps in app drawer. For eg Nova.

With Nova can also link gestures to certain functions which improves the overall userbility of the phone and compliments knock code well.
