While downloading the rootedimage (its 4GB), you can download the other folder required:
LG_Root


After you got the folder and rootedimage, transfer the rootedimage into your phone internal storage.

Put your phone in download mode and connect it to your PC. (I know it says G3, but its the same)


After you got it in download mode, open port.bat and make sure to write down the number after com. There maybe different com numbers but choose the one that has DIAG1 on the same line as it.

Hold shift and right click in any empty space in the extracted folder(LG_Root). Choose open command windows here.

Copy and paste: Send_Command.exe \\.\COM[*insert your number here]

Copy and paste: dd if=/data/media/0/rootedsystem.img bs=8192 seek=55296 count=529920 of=/dev/block/mmcblk0

Wait until you see # again.

After that type "LEAVE" , it will reboot and you have your phone rooted. :)

Whoa.. so many post since I last logged in.. Read that many were trying to remove bloatware well, this worked for me completely.

Of course, u need to be ROOTED..

Download ES File Explorer from Google Play (Free app).

Open ES File Explorer > Swipe screen from left to right for the menu > Scroll down to "Root Explorer" option> Enable the button > at this point SuperSu will pop-up.. grant the permission > after granting permission, tap on "Root Explorer" option again > a menu will pop-up > select "Uninstall System App" > Select apps u want to delete and click trash can icon > reboot phone

Congrats, bloatware free.. =:p

Be careful not to delete crucial apps that will brick ur phone... as usual, the disclaimer - I'm NORT responsible.

Both have their merits.

If I were to choose, g4, esp the new dual sim gold white local set is better buy than the op2, though it's ard $100 more.

Camera, screen, removable batt and microsd card are g4 advantages over op2.

If must have metal build, then op2 will be advantage.

Which google apps? I managed to remove all google apps but kept gmail, maps, google play and chrome.. Did u reboot ur phone? Sometimes after u trash the app the app icon will still remain. After reboot it will be removed thereafter..

The useless ones lo.

Reboot already. Then they will auto reinstall back.
