My G4 was bought when it was first released. No problems to date. Good phone, just dislike the stupid default camera not letting you choose the resolution to save in

talking about that, yes. although I stopped recently cos it suddenly detects my quick charger as usb charger and was charging super slow, so I used back the stock charger. wonder issit symptoms that the mainboard is getting faulty.

I brought on the day when the phone first launched. I just called the servicing centre and they told me still waiting for parts. Waited for almost 2 weeks and still waiting for parts to arrive.

That is ridiculous! If I were you, I would not accept it as an answer! What kind of customer service is LG providing to the customers? It is totally unacceptable.. You might want to check with LG whether they have ran out of money to manufacture more motherboard to fix the problem! Almost 2 weeks and no parts has arrived? That is no Life's Good! They should change their name to Life's BAD!

Sent my phone on 30 Nov for servicing till now still not ready for collection

I also just sent my G4 for servicing, also told me may take 1 to 2 wks due to same reason no spare parts.

Just want to ask if will they call you for update or am I the one who should call them. I'm thinking calling them on tuesday and ask for update.

mine was confirmed mobo failure. took one week to repair due to having no mother boards in stock. guess its a rather common issue?

Guys, I am a victim too. 505 set running on 10e version. This is my thought on my failed set. I was using my friend's Samsung Quick Charger in army camp (for the very first time). After I finished charging, the phone died on me. I have been using Aukey Quick Charger for the past few months without any problem. I am suspecting that the Samsung Quick Charger could be the cause that resulted in the motherboard to overheat.

Not that I aware of. I was also being told to wait 2 weeks if it is motherboard issue as there are currently no replacement parts in Singapore.

As for Marshmallow 6.0 update, I was told by the service guy that it should arrive late December 2015 in Singapore if nothing go wrong.

It is better to call them up! It's really unbelievable that a company like LG is running out of spare parts.. their business practices are questionable.. it says alot about their reputation as a trustworthy company. I for one will not touch their next phone for a long long time!

Better backup all your stuff now, its going to dead sooner or later. Its a known issue and LG is keeping silent about it. They can't pull a wool over our eyes, it is obvious that it is a motherboard failure.. Trying to pretend it is something else says a lot about the company..
