was there a new software update? theres nothing when I checked on phone. really want an update to fix the battery issue already

EDIT: also noticed a bunch of leaks from case designers are starting to pop up for the G5, looks like we're really losing the rear volume buttons. Personally sad that its still phablet size

EDIT2: nevermind about the update, I looked more carefully and its v10f so lollipop, no luck for us who already got forced to MM thanks to the service centre.

According to the leaks, the volume buttons are at the side but the power button is still at the rear which also acts as a fingerprint scanner.

yeah but the back-positioned volume keys was one of the things people praised LG for making it easier to reach on such a large device. Now they gone back to side facing buttons but the phone is still large size... naturally some people will wonder why did LG regress and what critical design motivation could warrant it.

My concern is that the motivation has to do with aesthetic (metal body, thinner and lighter body, etc). That's the sort of motivation that gave us 1 generation of samsung with no replaceable battery and no microSD, and it may be the motivation that potentially is going to give us an upcoming generation of iphone with no 3.5mm jack.

I'm just getting used to adjusting volume just by clicking the button when my phone is in my pocket.

Sorry for repost but I have asked the question a while back and didn't get a reply on it. Probably lost amongst the ghosting issue.

Is there a black looking spot (idk wires?) in the bottom left of the rear flash?

Somebody needs to start a class-action lawsuit in US or Europe! Only a heavy penalty on LG will give that a huge wake-up call! FU LG!

LG needs more bad publicity. I have a bad feeling about this scandal. LG continue to sell the device with a known manufacturing flaw, because recall is going to lower their profits. I hope it is not true, because it is not right to pass the buck to the customers! :s8:

Errr... "LG confirmed that earlier attempts to fix the problem were misdiagnoses which led to the wrong parts being replaced. With the problem properly identified, it should be smooth sailing for repairs from here on in."

Does this mean those who got it repaired initially might still get bootloop 2-3 months down the road since the "earlier attempts to fix the problem were misdiagnoses"... by then the warranty already gone how?

Makes sense. Just got mine repaired too.. So I should be worried too?
