yeah overall it was a good experience with the customer service. Got to give thumbs up to them. Also I went in the late afternoon, so the queue was very little, waited just a short while each time during sending and collection.

Great! There are more and more security bugs on Android.. However, LG doesnt want to provide prompt security fixs and they still blocked you from unlocking the bootloader.. G4 is still on security patch 1 Jan 2016. F.U.C.K YOU LG!

Sent my phone for servicing due to screen image burn issue. Apparently LCD and phone chasis is one module only. They also replace my mother board from 512 to 605. Now my phone is brand new again. Only the leather back is 1 yr old. *********

My 505 finally was hit with boot loop death....just over the warranty period. Damn it. Well, no more LG phones for the time being. Time to move on to other offerings from other brands.

They are hoping to launch an INTERNATIONAL class action lawsuit against LG for boot loop issue, and a lawyer firm replied in the comments.
I'm feeling slightly hopeful.. just slightly.

it is temporary as in after a while with the screen off, it will fade. But once you leave the screen on for prolonged periods, eg web browsing, then the image retention comes back and it is pretty noticeable in parts of the screen that always show the same thing, eg status icons.

the permanent kind of burn in happens on OLED not LCD

Thanks! I finally got to understand the true nature of the problem. It is not a case of just changing logic board. Yet again, LG had chosen to give a vague official explanation to the root cause of it.

sent my phone a day before warranty ends. my motherboard still working fine only sent for screen burn issue.

ends up they also change motherboard and the whole lcd assembly.

They should provide warranty replacement even for those that have past the warranty period. No more LG phones for the time being. Time to move on to other offerings from other brands.

has anyone actually confirmed with LG singapore whether or not the service centre will still fix bootloop issues free of charge for phones that passed warranty period?

i think i read from reddit before that LG supposedly would, but dunno if singapore's branch of LG will do the same.

I mean if they didn't, it would be a surefire way to lose a lot of fans. I personally would also think twice about getting future LG phone if i know their service standard is like that (considering they already took so long to acknowledge the bootloop issue and it even took a online petition to finally make them notice)

And the guy can only repeat. Out of warranty, have to pay.even when I insist I have the same issue previously and it's a widespread issue
