just bought mine thru qoo10..a Korea seller..it's didn't come with retail packing...but the battery look legit..

I think my g4 charging board is throwing some issue now..charging show charge but sometimes the charging never really happen...change new battery still same..suspect is charging port issue..any recommendation on the shop that can help on this..except lg service center

btw. this phone still going strong. didnt see any sign its failing. quite a durable 1 after they change my phone due to bootloop years back

I'm running Nougat on my G4. You can update to Android 7 but unofficially. Not sure why the official one didn't come to SEA. At least not for mine.

There's a thread in XDA forums on this. No need to root but must downgrade to Android 5. After upgrade, it's smooth and battery life improved. The phone is still good to keep as spare / backup and for mobile apps development.

I switched over to Note 8 as LG has decided to leave G4 out of future security updates. Too bad if not without the bootloop issue, it's a pretty solid phone especially with removable battery.

i had a second bootloop in Nov 2016, with warranty expire May 2016

they did my replacement FOC

in your interests, it is still advised to strongly emphasise the G4 bootloop is a known issue that was not properly resolved during their first fix attempt, in case people there try to shirk responsibility by claiming out of warranty.

For no reason, today I reboot G4 and it's stuck in "Android is starting, Optimizing app 1 or 1" for about 10~15 min. Then it works as normal.

Tried factory reset, still the same. If it's really one of the app problem, it's hard to find out which one.

Tried Safe Mode, it's the same, stuck in "Android is Starting" for a long time, then go to Safe Mode.

I know it's a long short. If someone encounter this and have fixed the problem...
