Will most likely be getting the G4 unless, there is a rude shock during the launch event/release over its specs. Had used the G2 before and what a phenomenal phone it was during that time ~ and maybe, still is to some..

What truly intrigues me about the G4 is its f1.8 lens. Those whom have used such a lens or are into photography will know what I mean. Just hope that the marriage of this powerful lens works in tandem with the rest of the phone to complement it.

Besides the usual upgrade in processors, RAM, screen and etc.. I have always enjoyed a phone with the option of a removable battery, SD-Card coupled with a good OIS camera. Not to mention, something that is not too big nor too small on the real-estate of your hand.

Looking forward to the launch event.

Let's just hope the UI and optimisations are good... I tried display units before but they just don't feel that smooth...

The best is to get from the Service Centre - 100% original ones.

True but they should cost like $60 or smth. For samsung there are legit ones on qoo10 if u know how to source, and they're cheaper.

Seriously, am not much of a fan nor an expert on Huawei devices but objectively speaking, on paper, Huawei's own processor (Kirin) may look good but when it comes to compatibility, performance and dissipating heat it may not fair as well with certain apps and functions unlike Qualcomm's which has like become the industry standard next to Samsungs's Exynos chipset. App developers seem to be more in favour or rather, comfortable around Qualcomm and now most recently, Exynos architecture.

Personally, from what I have read, I will not get a Kirin run device for myself until it becomes stable and mainstream no matter how good the other function or specs are. If the brain (processor) collapse, everything else will...

Agreed. Maybe it's cos i'm not too adventurous. Was eyeing the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 but decided against in cos the specs might look good on paper but i've no confidence in their UI, software & warranty support. Any phone above $600 which i buy for primary usage, at the moment i'm still sticking to Samsung, LG, Sony and HTC. Not a fruit fan LOL.

Samsung has gotten a bit too "premium" for me to buy at launch, 1k+ for a phone quite hard to justify. Hopefully LG will continue to launch its phones at attractive price points. Having said that, think i'll give LG 4 a pass... the leather is really a turn off Looking at 6-9 months down the road, hoping to choose between Z Ultra 4 or LG Pro 3 (whatever they choose to name it LOL).

LG has announced that those who purchase the company's upcoming flagship smartphone, the G4, before May 31 will get free one-time screen replacement (valid up to one year after purchase) as well as a free 64GB microSD card.

As of now, the offer is only for those who purchase the handset - which is set to be officially unveiled on April 28 - in South Korea, and it isn't yet known if and when the extras will be offered outside of the company's home market.

In addition, the company also revealed that the G4 will sport a 16MP rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture, and an 8MP front shooter. The announcement comes just a couple of days after a Korean analyst said that the G4 might not sell better than its predecessor, the G3.

or just wait and see if someone will do a glass screen protector without coloured sides. Like some of those you see for the Note 4, iPhone 6, nexus 6, etc. lol. No need to marker.

I do wish the phone was a bit smaller though. 5.2" on the G2 with small bezels was pretty much a nice balance between big screen and one-handed use. 5.5" a bit too big for my liking.

Actually there is usually quite good logic behind such analysts' forecast.

G3's record sales was somewhat attributable to the lacklustre sales of S5. They were able to attract Samsung users who did not upgrade to S5 for various reasons. S6's launch has proven to be a huge success so far, hence G4's target market size has just grown smaller compared to the same juncture last year. LG can't do anything about the hardware of the G4 now, the only thing they can do now is to give more "add-ons" so that the perceived value of G4 > S6.

Flex2 pricing officially is expensive but then after a while it drop drop drop. I think the G4 will be priced at around the Note 4 range bah. I don't think they will dare to price it the same as the S6. Hopefully not

Last year when G3 launched, got it on launch day from 3rd party retailer. Only 770 I think. Their official RRP was 9XX if I'm not wrong. So hopefully LG will keep such pricing for their G4 as well. We buy cheap we happy LG earn LG happy lol

Is it me, seems like LG capitalizing on the nexus 5 look? Seems like all lg latest models, G4, Flex2(except it is curvy)have the nexus 5 feel.
