Eh... 4.5 hours screen time over a span of less than 7 hours, with WiFi on all the time, and sync turned off.....

Doesn't sound good...

4 hr 30 min SOT seems average. Kinda like my s4 with similar usage, or slightly better. If I'm using bluetooth headphones, does the audio driver in the phone play a part to sound quality?

What's the current SOT for the S6 and Note 4? S6 is about 3-4 hours right? Note 4's pegged at around 4.5 hours too?

Note 4 and s6 definitely has much more clarity. I find that g4 is towards bass. The sound sounds a bit suppressed too. To me S6 has the biggest sound stage than note 4 and G4.

There will definitely be a loss of audio quality over Bluetooth headphones but yeah the audio driver in the phone is impt for sound quality.

My note 4 is better. I am able to get 4hrs screen on time over 12-13hrs.

S6 has a Wolfson DAC so I guess there's no fight there. Was hoping it'd at least match up to the Note 4. Have you used Viper4Android (V4A) before? Requires root and all but I'm wondering if that will help the sound quality. People on XDA say it does wonders so I'm wondering if that would help the sound quality on the G4.

yah same thoughts. The sot is average but the total battery life usage span is quite low right? I tot usually should last 12hrs like that?

The total battery life usage does indeed seem to be quite low (over 7 hours). I think the battery needs time to set. They usually need about a week or so to really be able to get the full charge out of them. Have you let it drain to 0 yet? Maybe you can try that once, charge it up back to 100% to get the cells going. Please continue to monitor the battery life and let us know how it goes over the next week :)

I read review online that note 4 sot is 5hrs plus. But I've not been able to get that sot

Haha I always look at the online battery tests and give an estimate of about an hour or so less than the ones they quote. Their usage patterns are very different from ours (I'm assuming most of us use Whatsapp which takes a lot of battery). I also think it may be something to do with our Telco/infrastructure but that's just a conjecture.

Thanks for giving us all these info yamihamir!

To the trial testers: Just wondering.. What kind of agreement are y'all tied to? Other than sharing about the G4 online, are y'all supposed to report bugs or ways to improve the phone to LG?

Yah wolfson DAC is awesome! I have heard of V4A and that it improves sound quality but nope I didn't try it coz I didn't want to root my note 4

Yeah I think the battery needs to set too. Yup I have already done the 0 to 100 about twice. Now I'm going to try 30% to 80% for a few times as I've read this is good got Li-ion batteries

Yeah most of them still using Sms haha. And we have 4g+ and it really sucks battery life

Anyways I will be constantly listening to my lg g4 for a week. There should be a difference as audio driver need to have a 'burn in' period. Will let you guys know if the sound quality improves in the next few days as compared to my note 4

They gave us the set for a month to test and we need to give them to reviews. An early impression of the phone and arnd the end of the period another overall review of the phone. We are also expected to take a few sample shots using the g4 camera like Selfie, night shot, macros etc.

Oh and I think the 50 of us all received the plastic back. It would be nice if they gave us the leather back to test. We manage to get a feel of the phone with the leather back at the event and I can say the feeling is just awesome!

Ah okay that sounds good! Anyway, I went to look around and found these tests at GSMArena:

LG G3: http://www.gsmarena.com/lg_g3-review-1086p7.php
Note 4: http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_note_4-review-1147p7.php
S6: http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s6-review-1227p7.php

I'm assuming the G4 will improve or retain the audio quality of the G3 which has shown to have good audio reproduction. Anyway, according to their audio tests, the Note 4 and S6 are better in some areas while not as good in others. I suppose the difference isn't that much and can be tweaked with V4A.

In any case, these are still numbers and I value your feedback still! Glad to have found someone who bothers about audio quality on their phones :s12::s13:. I'm looking forward to your verdict on the audio quality after the week is over :)

The colours are indeed more saturated on the S6. I'm more concerned about which is closer to how the scenery really looks like though haha. Thanks for the video though! Both cameras are really good.

Haha me too! I hope the G4 doesnt saturate purple to pink, and pink to red! I'm also interested to see how well it handles exposure and how well the new OIS works
