yeah I tried to battery saving already. I shall try to switch it off and see if battery life improves or not.

Can I request g4 tester to install Dot Arena? I'm using xperia z3 now. That game runs smooth until I update to 5.0. Just wondering is it andriod problem or phone problem lol.

G4 does support Quick Charge 2.0. This feature is not available and the reason for that seems to be that LG wants its accessories for the device to be equally popular.

Seems like a separate case for the LG G4 will be available from the manufacturer that will also include Quick Charge 2.0 on board. So if you’re looking for faster charging times for your future LG G4, be sure to get your hands on the accessory as well. Or, you could also simply purchase a new battery for the device, that will end up being handy during critical times

Some more photo comparison for you peeps. This time round its between auto mode (HDR ON), auto mode (HDR Off) and Manual mode (Auto). See if you guys can spot an aeroplane in the second and third picture above the horizon on the left

(HDR On) photo to me is the best haha.

Guys I just saw this posted on a Reddit AMA. Can someone confirm that the G4 doesn't have the same audio issue?

I'll go check out the phonearena review too. I don't really trust them though haha. The ones I really dare to trust are GSMArena and Android Central. MKBHD on YouTube is pretty good too. Thanks for the link though!

Throw me your questions & I will reply as much as I know since I got G4 with me right now. I am more into photography feature just that I can't post any image now (pretty time-consuming).

Bro, would you be able to shed some light on how well the G4 renders faces / skin tones, esp in low light?

I have the G3, and while it has an excellent camera for most purposes, there is always something wrong with the way it captures skin tones in lower light settings like in restaurants, bars etc. The overly aggressive processing causes a lot of smearing leaves a watercolour effect on faces, making subjects look awful and sickly. Quite a few friends and family members have commented that pictures of them always 'don't look good' on my G3, and ask me to use other phones - so I'm back to using my Xperia Z2 which does much better in this regard.

Does the G4 suffer from the same problem from your experience so far? If so, I'll think twice before getting one.

Seems like zooming on the G4 produces muted audio. and also audio quality seems pretty low for video.

tough decision. really. lol.

g4 is 5.5-inch, s6 is 5.1-inch.

for 5.5-inch phones, g4 feels great.

for 5-inch phones, s6 feels great as well.

so i don't know if its fair to compare g4 and s6 in terms of handling. bigger form factor naturally not as good handling.

i love the glass rear back of the s6, but the leather back of the s6 has its own plus point as well.

Anyone can help compare screen brightness (least lited) between g4 and iPhone 6 pls? If one were to look at phone screen in a dark room, we don't a bright phone screen, so want to know how least bright it can go, thanks.

About 30%: hard to read and smudges can be seen impeding text readability.

About 50%: slight smudge visible but can read all text with little strain.

About 70%: smudge almost disappear from view and very comfortable reading of text.

Today I went for shoot from about 6.30am till 8.30am with full battery and brightness on auto. Came back with battery level at 52%.

No sim card but wifi tethered on my other phone.

About 104 no flash shots taken, which includes 4 15s videos

That's the way to go brother Chai_Latte, showing your
passion and attitude in trying out the G4. I wonder how
many trial users are active putting their discoveries on
this thread.

If someone willing to co-ordinate the progress of the
finding, while others do the analysing and giving suggestions
to areas where there are needs for improvement, LG will
be too glad to have you on board their dream teams of
LG G4 owners in this part of the world.

If there is no co-ordination, everybody will be almost doing
the same thing, and the process will be very slow. This
forum allows us to communicate effectively and to go
about doing the trial runs more effectively.

Proper planning is vital else the project can be a failure.
