every lowlight processing will result in grainy pics, the photographer makes the diff, if you focus well on the brightest part of the area, it will reduce the grainy effect as it takes as much light from the focused light source.

i feel lg laser focus is the world difference here, makes noobs like pros!

err sala a bit...there are a few strategies to reduce noise....

1. Expose to the Right to reduce the least amount of information/levels contained in the darkest part of the picture

2. Stacking (image averaging) to reduce noise by taking multiple shots of the same scene on tripod to reduce the noise after stacking them together

3. Use of noise reduction plug-ins such as Google's Nik Define 2, Noise Ninja etc helps to reduce both the chroma as well as luminance noise

4. Image blending by exposing for various parts in the scene allowing maximum levels to be captured and then blend all the various parts together.

Can read more about noise in this articles

non removable battery caused strain to battery by keep using portable charger because it's consistently on & off charging. I do have a xiaomi charger with me, but it's just in case for emergency, normally I'll just try to minimized the usage to tahan more until I reach home & able to connect charger to charge it full.

There is no problem charging on and off. Batteries are now lithium ions and only full charge cycles will cause deterioration. You can check it out more yourself.

it's not the camera that is doing the trick. most of the time it's the photographer. knowing how to adjust to the environment or good post-processing skills can make the best use of your tools. you should learn your basics first though. :) cambridge in color is a good place to start.

you will see some interesting works for sure.

pics are to be taken in RAW format, as there will be details embeded inside to prove that the pics are taken by LG G4.

On the topic of non-removable batt vs removable batt I'd always prefer the latter after the following 2 incidents.

Had iPhone 5, kept boiling-up and switching off. Prognosis at apple centre, batt problem. Batt replaced and problem resolved received phone after 6 DAZE and in-EXCHANGE, got 2 new problems after repair. Crackling sound from speaker and a faint smudge on internal camera lens. Sold it off as soon as I go it back.

Xperia Z1, after 6mths batt was unable to hold charge Sony determined batt problem... Z1 stayed in sick bay for 7 long days. Thought after the batt exchange phone will be all handy-dandy but I was wrong. Received phone with another set of problems. Keyboard was unable to register certain keys. Went back to Sony A&E and phone went under major op to replace the MOTHERBOARD!! Phone was on hospitalization leave for 3 days. Upon collection sold it off soon after.

I stay far and away from service centres these days and now am using a Redmi 1s and Sammy S5+ both have removable batt. After a year with 1s, battery seemed a little sluggish. Ordered a replacement batt which cost me $13 including shipping from Xiaomi direct. Back in business in 5 days. No need to format phone, backup data or upgrade OS etc just to replace a FREAKING battery! (apologies, for my outburst..)

Just like what others have said, replacing batt on a daily basis may just do more harm to your phone than good. Your back case and batt contacts may just begin to crack and or loosen up and its something that I do not plan to do with my current of future phones but HOWEVER, I would like to have the freedom to replace the battery myself at my own time, convenience and will and not be held hostage with a service centre.

Moral of the story, love thy removable battery.. =:p

Eh.. no idea, i've read the user review from somewhere else.. i also don't have friend who owned G3... so don't know how good is the phone....

Think G4 should have overcome this issue. Got trial user reported no issues when switched to 70% brightness under bright sunlight :o

The reasons which "might" lead me to edge:
- significant battery usage, much faster charging time (to me the removable battery is a gimmick, i've never used a removable battery. who charges 2 battery, and still remembers charging them faithfully? well, not me. i use a xiaomi powerbank.)

Unless you've used the holy nokia 8250 before, you'll never comprehend how superior it is just by swapping a fresh removable battery and continue with normal activities of calls/messages without a dangling wire attached to a pb brick. End of the day, you still have to remember to charge the pb. ;) I have xm pb, but not practical to carry that whenever i'm out. :o

Samsung has made a bad decision to do away with removable battery, and worse without extra memory slot. I dislike how the mobile industry is going backwards by forcing us to loot a heavy pb, considering these battery-hunger smartphones aren't light as feather. I hope LG will not jump on the bandwagon.
