The scene you described even though its still visible to you it is actually very very dark for the camera. All cameras including dslr will struggle in your given scenerio except the highend pro models. Also in your scenerio flash is a must. The problem is not just G4 but its photography.

I was a victim when the glass sp I used was not fit for it. Changed and then everything is fine.

For android phone cameras' prowess, the most you can do is balance between slow shutter (where targets need to freeze longer) vs high ISO (where shots get more noise). You have to find this balance with manual mode. The goodness of having manual mode.
Then post process by increasing brightness of 'shadow'

For mirrorless, dslr or lumia1020 (those with decent flash, not led flash which is very weak), you can deploy this combo for clarity and speedy shot on extreme low light scenarios
High shutter + flash + low ISO + white balance, it's possible to get a shot in really low light that is still 'well lit' looking and clear enough and as if there is no flash at all (might need to post process red eye though)
But this technic don't work with led flash la as they are too weak XD

Nubia's phone have electronic aperture control, I wonder how well does it work.

Manual control allows you to take pictures with more control and be more involved in the creative process.

The brain in your head is more superior in the creative process. Try long exposure shots. Small aperture around f8 and exposure of 5-10s. Push ISO down to 100 or 200. Then you will see why megapixels and laser autofocus and whatever shebangs don't give the G4's camera the edge.You give it the edge.

I think twrp recovery is now available and after you flashed the recovery..you can then install supersu to gain root..

Anyone using the swype function on the default keyboard? It seems like after swype one word it won't auto insert a space ? Strangely on my old LG phone when swyping it will auto insert a space after each word so no need to manually press space after each word. Not sure if there's some setting I missed.
