Alright.

I just finish setting up after resetting. :s22:

Later I reach home then see the wifi how, coz just now I sitting beside the router. :o
No prob..

I'm happy to say that wifi connection is much better now. I was playing clash of clans today and no disconnection so far. On the previous firmware, it would disconnect several times.
That's just an awesome piece of news. Will gv 10d a try. Tks.

First time heard praises after updating. Other phones always read about complaints due to updates.

Thinking whether to root without unlocking bootloader which will bring me back to 10c or stay as v10d now. :s22:

Really should try v10d.

Yup, I did and am extremely glad at that.

The following I can attest by is that the WiFi issue is LONG GONE or at least, in my set. WiFi was practically, undetectable at the most far reaches of my home while other devices operated normally but the G4 gave me a miserable 1 to 0 bar signal on 2.4Ghz (which couldn't even send a simple whatsapp message) and 5Ghz never saw the day of light in that corner of my home. After the update to 10d, I am getting 2 bars on each band 2.3/5Ghz. In fact, I can even stream video now! :s12:

Other issue that seemed to have been solved for me is the knock-on feature via the top notification bar. Before the update when I used to double tap the notification bar it would drag open instead or will be unresponsive but now a perfect 10!

As for on the issue of phone operating more smoothly well, I would say it has definitely, become more snappy or uber responsive. If your senses are on high alert, you will notice it. No mind games here.. =:p

Also, if you are rooted you will naturally loose root access after the upgrade but am pleased to announce that I managed to re-root the phone back using the old "inject-root" method on the new SEA 10d update.

I think I'll retire from updates now until something more concrete comes along that gets the G4 flying and as for Marshmallow, I've got reservations and doubts about it..

Also, thanks to the many pioneers whom tested 10d first and gave it a clean bill of health. Cheers!

I am stuck at the ubuntu there. :s22:

U are attempting to use ubuntu via USB, VMware or as 2nd OS on your computer?

Personally, I had no luck with ubuntu running via USB or computer as 2nd OS, so I tried running through VMware and it worked flawlessly.

USB & 2nd OS on computer method tested on Win 8.1 (result= failed)

VMware method tested on Win 8.1 & Win 10 (result=passed)
