I wonder if there are any LG representatives here to care to explain to us what's been happening... It's clearly a widespread issue, and they are also unwilling to replace one for one set. They said it's a motherboard issue, but I still have doubts regarding the update I installed before my phone died on me 2 days later.

Could it be that the software update actually was purposely launched to cause the motherboard to malfunction? Conspiracy :O

It really kinda sucks that the best all rounder phone of this year(imo) has such lousy after-sales service...

Another motherboard victim.i asked the customer service rep in LG. All she said was 'i dunno'

guys im on v10c sea now, if i update firmware to v10d will i lose root access/current stuffs in my phone? read lots of positive reviews on the new firmware update now i wanna try it too..

Yes, agree with you, was loving this phone till it died.. So I surely will be saying goodbye to LG for good..

My lg g4 wifi went bonkers; cannot be turned on or turned off. The toggle button kept flashing.

I suspect it is due to the recent update. Factory reset also no use. Must go service centre liao.

Anyone with same problem?

yep, root mod and the works... but lately bery bizy.. and like to keep it simple.. afraid push G4 too much wait go into konkas mode.. :s22:

how's ur rooted droid coming along?

It's quite a worrying trend to see so many folks here have had their G4s taken away at such a tender age and warped into fashionable paper-weight items.. covered with leather of course, out of the blue. My suspicion like many, points towards the hardware and not so much on the recent update (10d). I like many have been on 10d since it was made available and have been unaffected by this strange phenomenon where your G4 suddenly decides to commit suicide.. (so far.. touch wood)

But I think, it will be helpful for the community if we can share the details of the phone in particular, the ESN Date (Production Date) of the affected batch and perhaps, in doing so may uncover a trend and be of help to others.. LG as you know, won't be so forthcoming but maybe we can try this on our own.

They changed my motherboard that day when I went down to the service center. :o
