Haha... didn't you know that the brothers here get their
V10 by going online or from the local supplier. These
two weeks many new users having V10.

Going for the G4 is not a bad choice as when you upgrade
you will never want to go back to the other camp.
Nice time to get the new G4 with all the freebies. :)

Actually i'm currently using a gpro 2. was looking forward to buying the v10 but too bad LG is not bringing it in.
Of cos there is an option of buying from overseas, but i prefer my phone to have local support when i need it, especially the last time my gpro 2 couldn't switch on for whatever reason and i know help is just nearby.
Might take another shot by buying the g4 first while waiting and hoping LG could bring in the v10 soon.

Just bought the white-gold LG G4 Dual-LTE! The "gold" looks like gold as long as you're in good lighting. If not, it looks just like the sides of the regular G4. I like the matte feeling of the back, but the white has made me a little scared that it will dirty easily.

In any case, they included 2 leather backs (pink + blue) -- which are NOT the official LG leather backs. They are VOIA brand. However, on the box of these leather cases, they call it "Original accessory licensed by LG". Design is almost exactly the same as the LG one, except there is no stitching and there is some metallic plastic at the sides (leather doesn't go until the very edge of the back). But texture of leather is exactly the same as the original LG one.

Besides that, they also gave free 128GB microSD card (Class 10 SDXC, also Voia brand) and microSD adapter, 2 plastic screen protectors, and battery charging kit, which I appreciate.

Overall, at M1, this one costs $30 more than a leather G4 (w/ batt charging kit only). At Singtel, same price as regular leather G4. I find this white-gold a better deal than the leather G4 (even though I only use 1 SIM)!

Also interesting is the model number is H818N (same as other dual SIM variants), and software version of this is v10a-SEA-XX, after one update. I think this doesn't follow the update cycle of your H815, but I hope when Marshmallow comes it comes to my phone just as quickly as yours.

The Pro 2 is a solid device and since its release in April 2014
there isn't any trouble with it, if you know how to maintain
it to operate at peak performance.

Most Pro 2 users will rather wait for Pro 3, reason being
the v10 is just the tip of the ice-berg, while G4 is what LG
wants to launch it successfully just like the G3.

By changing the cover together with the freebies and made
available through all the three telcos, LG hope that there
will be more new consumers.

This is the good workable marketing strategy.
For sure there will be great stuff coming in the first quarter
of 2016. :s13::s13:

Since I just bought G4, would like to ask you bros: is the G4 really very fragile? If so, what you do to protect it -- use rugged case, etc.?

I hear alot of ppl drop on the floor then screen immediately crack or side chip off. For me, my prev phone (LG Optimus G) had PVC bumper with considerable lip, and managed to survive over 10 drops on concrete and ceramic.

Yes it's quite fragile. I was about to sit down and my G4 slipped out of my pocket and hit marble floor. The plastic frame at the side was dented. The height of the drop only about 1 meter :s22:
