for those whose motherboard failed, do you charge your battery using the cable directly, or do you use the battery charging kit and change the battery when needed?

I do mostly direct charging since only occasionally need to use the backup battery.

check your serial code. If it starts with 505, it means it's manufactured on 201(5) (05) May

Got it in June. My serial code shows that it's manufactured on 5th May too.

u can find it on the label on the box, marked S/N. (most probably on the phone too but since it's not with me now so I can't confirm.)

I think they ran out of motherboard parts as too many are failing

A bit worried about battery life due to experience with G4 (currently using G4 and battery always finish middle of the day can never make it to the end of the day )

I am now using for a few months and my G4 also had a problem but just that it can be solve by power reset.

As what I had written here before, it will once in a while sound alarm and you cannot type anything on it.

Battery life is like drinking water when phone started to feel warm.
