V10 also can put inside pocket lol

Its just my personal preference that I would rather have a smaller form factor. During my G4's service time in Dec, using the Mi4i as backup reminded me how smaller form factors are really more comfortable. Im not a media consumer on the phone so a smaller screen doesnt bother me too much

About heavy... if they are serious about going metal, heavy is unavoidable....

The main thing is V10 can be slide inside pocket or squeeze inside pocket? and yeah I prefer smaller form factor. 5 inches is decent point

Mine is batch 505 which died on me, got it back with software version lollipop V10e

Whenever i leave my wifi/data on over night, the battery will drop at least 20% and Google Play used up to 25% of battery.

Anyone faces this problem and how to overcome this? Download a few battery saving apps also no use.

TIA

I've used 10a/b/c and now on 10d... All 4 upgrades I easily can get 2+/- days of battery worth with my usage but since Dec 2015, if I'm not wrong there were some auto Google updates in particular Google Play & Store since then battery can hardly last one day or even less with same usage pattern. And yes, Google Play/Store seems to be active all the time and keeping the device/cpu awake even when not in use. Phone can hardly get into deep sleep thus, the depletion.

Am suspecting Google services as well. Planning on doing a full reset (when time permits, of course) and install older Goggle services. Also stop them from auto updating and craping the whole system up. :frus:

No such issue. Does this happen every time or when using specific apps?

The burnt image seems to be from an app(hayday) but I can also see icons from status bar. It shows when displaying grey color on screen on white and in black it doesn't show. Very annoying I can see it when pulling down notification bar.

So that we are on the same page, u are referring to the game hayday right? If so I tried it with 20%-100% brightness couldn't replicate any burnt effect issue.

Also tried LCD Manual and Mura Test in the Service Menu and all good. By chance, did you happen to change any display settings/dpi with a 3rd party app or something? If not, then perhaps may need to visit svc centre. But let's see if anyone else responds to the same issue..

I am having the screen burn in on the notification bar as well. There are pinkish tint on my screen when there is a grey background. You have the same problem? Lousy Goods service center really screw up my phone LCD screen.. This crap is irritating but I am not going back to their shitty service center again.

I did not have screen issue in the first place, now they created another issue for me. LG really Sucks!!

I'll bring my unit to lg when I get some free time. Just sharing this issue with other g4 owners. Seems like I'm not the only one affected.

Dude I got the same issue. Apparently, I have one app that has an icon on the notification area. I have just removed that app after reading ur thread. Now, I still see the icon against a grey background.

After updating to v10e and v20b, battery drain fast and even lost 9% of battery while phone is switch off and left overnight. Is this a sign of motherboard failing? Btw 505 batch too

My bad, seems like mine was image retention not a burn in.
http://www.marco.org/rmbp-irtest.html You can use this site to see that the g4 display is susceptible to image retention. Found it in some lg G2 forum where some users had the same issue.

Nope. Marshmallow v20b is a battery sucker.

v20b battery drain is really starting to remind me of when Samsung did their OTA to Android 4.3 for the Galaxy S3

It was an issue so bad that HWZ reported it
http://www.hardwarezone.com.sg/tech...iii-and-note-ii-users-after-android-43-update

...and for me back then was enough to make me ditch stock rom and flash cyanogenmod when i normally would never dare to tamper with the phone to that extent since I'm not developer.

I'll see if LG is able to fix this by end Feb, else I might look to taking matters to my own hands.

How long did it take for LG to repair the G4? I was told they take 1 week to repair?

If they're currently still waiting for stock of replacement motherboard to arrive, it'll likely be more than 1 week...

There were already users who received SMS to inform of the delay due to replacement stock

Mine took 2 weeks. Sent in on 4th, just got it back yesterday. I was only told of the stock delay when I called in last Friday, they didn't sms at all haha.
